Full job description
We are looking for a highly experienced leader to build and scale the Bank's enterprise-wide Intelligence Automation and Decisioning Platforms. The role will be responsible for owning the end-to-end lifecycle of strategic decisioning platforms, including architecture, platform design, development, deployment, governance, and production operations. The individual will lead the creation of real-time decision engines and automation capabilities that support critical business use cases such as fraud detection, transaction monitoring, risk controls, customer decisioning, and operational workflows. This role requires strong expertise in enterprise architecture, distributed systems, platform engineering, and large-scale program delivery, along with the ability to collaborate across multiple business and technology functions.
The core responsibilities for the job include the following:
Platform Strategy and Ownership:
Own the vision, roadmap, architecture, and execution of enterprise-scale intelligence automation and decisioning platforms.
Design and implement real-time rule engines and decisioning systems capable of supporting high-volume, low-latency business use cases.
Build scalable and modular platform capabilities that can be leveraged across multiple business functions and products.
Drive continuous enhancement of platform capabilities, reliability, performance, and adoption.
Architecture and Solution Design:
Lead system architecture and High-Level Design (HLD) for enterprise decisioning platforms.
Define platform components, data flows, technology stack, databases, APIs, integration frameworks, and deployment architecture.
Design resilient, scalable, and event-driven distributed systems that meet enterprise-grade performance and availability requirements.
Establish architecture standards, engineering best practices, and technology governance frameworks.
End-to-End Platform Delivery:
Lead the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including architecture, development, testing, UAT, deployment, production rollout, and operational support.
Drive engineering excellence through structured development processes, quality assurance, release management, and production monitoring.
Ensure successful implementation, operational readiness, and long-term sustainability of platform solutions.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
Collaborate closely with Product, Risk, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Analytics, and external partners to deliver strategic platform initiatives.
Drive integration across multiple internal and external systems while ensuring seamless user and business experiences.
Manage program execution, stakeholder alignment, delivery governance, timelines, risks, and dependencies across functions.
Governance, Security, and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, information security standards, audit guidelines, and enterprise governance processes.
Drive approvals and reviews across application security, information security, risk, compliance, and technology governance teams.
Ensure platforms are built and operated in accordance with enterprise security, reliability, and operational standards.
Team and Stakeholder Management:
Build and lead high-performing teams comprising architects, engineers, business analysts, QA professionals, and support teams.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and direction to drive strong execution and delivery outcomes.
Communicate platform strategy, progress, risks, and key outcomes to senior leadership and business stakeholders.
Success Measures:
Delivery of strategic decision intelligence platforms on time and at required quality standards.
Platform adoption across multiple business functions.
Production stability, availability, and service-level achievement.
Reduction in time-to-market for new decisioning capabilities.
Successful completion of regulatory, compliance, audit, and security requirements.
Development and retention of a high-performing, scalable team.
Requirements:
8+ years of experience in technology, platform engineering, enterprise architecture, analytics platforms, or large-scale software delivery.
Proven experience building and implementing enterprise platforms or products from the ground up.
Strong experience designing and delivering real-time decisioning systems, workflow automation platforms, or rule-engine-based solutions.
Experience working in Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, Payments, or other highly regulated industries is preferred.
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, distributed systems, APIs, integration patterns, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycle, platform governance, production operations, and support models.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional programs involving multiple stakeholders and technology teams.
Preferred Background: Candidates from organizations with strong enterprise product engineering and platform development experience will be preferred, particularly those who have built large-scale platforms from scratch.
