Maintain HSBC internal control standards, ensuring timely remediation of audit findings and regulatory issues, while delivering accurate financial reporting, planning and insight to support business decision-making.

Roles & Responsibilities

Group and local MI/reporting, including Flash & Actual Profit and Loss (P&L), detailed MI (Management Information) packs with commentary, Cognos (TM1), cost centre reporting, and Assets Under Management (AUM) reporting by asset class and customer group.Deliver quarter-end and year-end Group submissions.Produce detailed variance and performance analysis with commentary (P&L, Balance Sheet, AUM/ Group Sales Report (GSR), run-rate, outlook).Lead Annual Operating Plan, Rolling Operating Plan and Financial Resource Plan cycles, including stakeholder challenge, negotiation and alignment.Prepare local monthly reporting packs for Exco and all Senior Management decksRespond to monthly and ad-hoc reporting requests from local/regional stakeholders.Perform expense analysis (line-by-line) and provide actionable insights.Assess product profitability and prepare/review fully loaded P&Ls for new/existing products.Ensure adherence to Group Compliance Policy and maintain strong operational risk awareness within the role.Partner with senior Finance and business stakeholders; drive strong financial discipline and identify revenue uplift/cost-saving opportunities in consultation with the CFO.

Minimum Graduation or as required for the role, whichever is higher

Knowledge And Experience

Professional qualification in Accountancy or Management Graduation (CA/MBA)Work experience of 2-6 years in the BFSI space.
