HSBC is hiring for the role of Assistant Manager Sales and Distribution!
Responsibility of the Candidate:
Distributor & IFA (Independent Financial Adviser(s)/) channel development: Build and manage relationships with banks, IFAs, and national distributors; expand the IFA network and deepen penetration in the assigned region.
Sales targets & assets under management (AUM) growth: Own quarterly/annual sales budgets, focus on AUM growth, and meet/exceed mutual fund sales targets.
Client/advisor engagement: Present fund strategies, market views, and portfolio solutions to IFAs, relationship managers, and institutional clients; support them in client conversations and portfolio reviews.
Training & enablement: Conduct internal/external training sessions, product workshops, and webinars for internal teams and advisors; create sales plans around “focus funds” and campaigns.
Market intelligence: Gather feedback from the field, share competitor and flow trends, and work with product teams to refine positioning and campaigns.
Compliance & documentation: Ensure all sales activities adhere to SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) /AMFI (Association of Mutual Funds in India) guidelines, KYC (Know Your Customer )/AML(Anti-Money Laundering ) norms, and internal risk/compliance policies; maintain accurate records and reporting.
Requirements
Experience: 1+ years; prior experience in mutual fund distribution, wealth sales, or private banking is preferred.
Certifications: NISM VA certification is mandatory
Education: Graduate/postgraduate in finance, business, or related fields.
Skills: Strong relationship management, negotiation, presentation skills; comfort with sales pipelines, Excel/CRM reporting, and basic portfolio analytics.
