Godrej Industries is hiring for the role of Assistant Manager - GST!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
GST Compliances
Ensure timely and accurate filing of monthly and annual GST returns like GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C
Undertake monthly GST reconciliation between Inward Register and 2B to identify mismatches with vendor reporting, follow-up with internal stakeholders to undertake corrective actions and ensure accurate ITC claims within statutory timelines.
Undertake 3 way reconciliation for Outward Supply (Invoice vs Eway Bill vs IRN)
Computation of exempt supply reversals and monthly GST liability.
Reconciling GST balances on GST portal with Accounting Books and passing necessary entries.
Passing monthly GST set-off and ITC reversal entries.
Audit support
Reconciliation of revenues between Financial Statements and GST Returns for Annual Compliances.
Providing Inward / Outward Register, backup GST working, Vendor GST reconciliations, Invoices and related data support for GST audits.
Prepare and maintain GST-related documentation, records, and registers for the purpose of GST refunds.
Liaison with manufacturing units and regional offices for GST matters.
Strategic initiatives
Reconciling ISD vendor invoices with GSTR-6A, Computing ISD distribution and timely filing monthly of GSTR-6.
Identifying common costs incurred at Head Office and cross charging the same across various GST registrations.
Drive automation projects with respect to process improvements like Vendor reconciliations, ISD distribution and Outward supply reconciliation and implementation of GST software/ tools.
Handle matters related to accumulation and liquidation of Input Tax Credit (ITC), including preparing refund applications.
Provide support in diagnostic reviews of GST compliance, identifying potential issues, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in existing GST processes and documentation.
Requirements:
Qualified CA with relevant experience in managing GST
compliances; preferably having industry experience in FMCG/ pharma.
Hands-on experience with GST return filings, reconciliations, and audit notices.
Proficiency in excel.
Exposure related to GST software (DigiGST) and SAP.
