Our highly technical, automation driven and innovative team is dedicated to driving growth for Colgate Palmolive in this ever-changing landscape.

What role will you play as a member of the Colgate’s Information Technology team?

The Technical Specialist is part of the Level 2 (L2) Support - Diagnosis, investigation, resolution of issues in SAP Basis, System Administration Network in Colgate environment and Google Cloud Platform. In addition, Use tools such as Splunk, Stonebranch, Phantom for analysis, solve and automation of processes.

Problem-solver, with analytic thinking and ability to apply root cause analysisAbility to prioritize multiple work assignments and meet timelinesExperience working multi-functionally with business areasResponsible for the fix and resolution of all issues raised by Level 1 (L1) team; if no solution is available, advance to L3 teams within SLAsPerform SAP HANA revisions/ upgradesSAP Basis functions such as fix printers configurationBuild, schedule, change and update jobs and job streams as requested by application teams through Change DocumentsSupport and maintain Job scheduling/Workload automation tools. Build, schedule, change and update jobs and job streams as requested by application teamsPerform operational tasks including but not limited to Tape Backups/Vaulting, SAP OSS connections, Splunk episode review, Incident Management and other required activities

You are a collaborator

Coordination with Level 3 (L3) and/or Application teams towards resolution of issue in the following areas:Colgate datacenter Infrastructure: Databases, SAP Basis, Operating Systems, and Network Colgate environment in the Google Cloud PlatformWork with vendors, ESC (Enterprise Service Center) teams to address issuesPerform planning and execution of monthly system maintenance including start/stop of SAP, AIX, Linux, Windows systems and applications.

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field3-5 years of experience in databases, SAP basis, system administrationShow proficiency in G-Suite applicationsSolid grasp SAP Basis and Operating Systems - AIX, LINUX, and WindowsExcellent verbal and written communications skillsStrong analytical and skills to identify cause of issueBasic knowledge of UNIX scriptingAvailability to cover on-call support schedules on a rotating basis 24x7 including weekends and holidays, when required
