Overview

This role of Sr. Technical Engineer in Analytics Platform team will be responsible for providing enterprise ownership and governance for shared data and ontology components in Palantir, ensuring they are well-managed, reusable, and fit for long-term scale. The role acts as the central point of coordination for ontology change management, standards enforcement, health monitoring, and stakeholder communication, while bridging business, data, and engineering teams to translate enterprise needs into robust, high-quality Foundry components.

Key Accountabilities

Own the architecture, governance, and strategic direction for shared data and end-to-end capabilities in Palantir.Serve as the senior consultant for enterprise/shared objects, actions, metadata, and architectural exceptions.Define ownership, lifecycle, decision rights, and accountability models for shared components.Provide architectural oversight of Palantir Foundry platform operations, reliability, scalability, and performance.Own platform management and governance, including access control, Foundry API-based automation, and administrative support.Provide product architecture consultation for new solution designs and optimization of existing implementations, aligned with industry’s best practices.Define and govern enterprise standards for data modelling, ontology design, metadata, security, documentation, and reuse.Drive adoption of architecture principles and best practices across delivery teams and consuming squads.Establish health checks for shared components covering usage, performance, data quality, security, and deprecation needs.Own authoritative documentation for end-to-end components, including applications, definitions, ownership, lifecycle, and usage guidance.Monitor adoption, quality, risk, and technical debt to guide continuous improvement and investment.Communicate architectural direction, governance decisions, risks, and business impacts to technical and executive stakeholders.Lead change enablement for major ontology, data-platform, and Foundry capability changes.Facilitate alignment across product, engineering, data, architecture, security, and business teams.Translate business priorities into scalable, reusable, and governed ontology and data-platform capabilities.Partner with product owners, data stewards, architects, and engineering leaders to establish common enterprise concepts.Ensure enterprise components support interoperability, scalability, maintainability, and long-term business value.Guide teams in balancing delivery speed with architectural integrity, platform sustainability, and total cost of ownership.Mentor technical engineers and architects and raise architecture maturity across the organization.Define the architecture and priorities for automated workflows, controls, and observability within Palantir Foundry.Sponsor real-time health metrics for proactive management of ontology quality, platform performance, adoption, and risk.Use operational insights to identify systemic issues, prioritize improvements, and enhance platform governance.Safeguard platform health through proactive monitoring and analytics, improving visibility, standardization, value realization, and overall system reliability.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.Understanding of Palantir platform capabilities – Permissions & Controls, Data scheduling, ETL, Ontology Management, Downstream applications (Workshop, Slate, Map, Etc.).Ability to design and develop data integration pipelines within Platform (Palantir Foundry) to ingest, transform, and integrate data from various sources.Proficiency in programming languages such as PySpark, Python, typescript, or Scala.Experience with scripting languages and data manipulation tools to automate tasks and optimize data workflows within Platform (Palantir Foundry)
