Brief introduction - Role Summary/Purpose:
Perform all accounting activities as per the defined SOBPs. Perform the entire range of activities pertaining to General accounting. Support Statutory audit and other activitiesPerform all the compliances as per SOX guidelines. Engage with Colgate Business teams and various stakeholders
Responsibilities :
Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts, Bank accounts and follow up on open itemsEnsure that all the accounting is in compliance with the US GAAPEnsure the effective controls are maintained to achieve high accuracy as per the internal company guidelinesExecute intercompany transactionsPerform cash application and Netting process for ICO customers/ICO VendorsEnsure accurate working and posting of Rule based journal entriesReview and timely resolution of all audit queriesEngage with local teams and regional team to stay aligned on all the processes, resolve issues on timely basisUndertake assessment cycles for seamless movement from FI to PA module at month endReview the SOP periodically and recommend necessary changes as and when needed in consultation with relevant stake holdersTimely submission and maintenance of SOX documentationParticipate in standardization and continuous improvement initiatives as well as other business partner initiatives Ensure prompt response to queries of local business
Required Qualifications :
Commerce, BMS, BAF, BIF graduatePost Graduate in Finance streamsWorking knowledge of US GAAP Working knowledge of ERP system is a mustSAP experience desired
