Job Description

Manager – Land Acquisition (Gujarat)

Location: Gujarat Function: Land Acquisition & External Affairs

Role Purpose

Responsible for end-to-end land acquisition, government liaison, statutory approvals, and stakeholder management for Wind, Solar, and Hybrid Renewable Energy projects across Gujarat.

Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, evaluate, and acquire Government, Private, and Forest land for RE projects.

Conduct site identification, feasibility studies, land due diligence, title verification, and land negotiations.

Obtain all required approvals, NOCs, permissions, and clearances from Revenue, Forest, Panchayat, Railway, Mining, and other government departments.

Liaise with District Collectors, SDMs, Mamlatdars, Talatis, Sarpanches, and local authorities for smooth project execution.

Ensure compliance with Gujarat land policies, government resolutions (GRs), and regulatory requirements.

Minimize Right of Way (ROW) issues and local-level disputes during project development and operations.

Maintain MIS of land records, statutory payments, approvals, legal matters, and compliance timelines.

Support Project, Legal, Asset Management, and CSR teams on land-related matters.

Track policy developments, competitor activities, and market intelligence relevant to the RE sector.

Desired Profile

10-15 years of experience in Land Acquisition, Government Liaison, and Regulatory Approvals.

Prior experience in Renewable Energy, Infrastructure, Power, or Transmission sector preferred.

Strong understanding of Gujarat land acquisition procedures, land allotment policies, and statutory approval processes.

Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, networking, and problem-solving skills.
