Job Description
Deputy Manager – Land Acquisition (Gujarat)
Location: Gujarat Function: Land Acquisition & External Affairs
Role Purpose
Support land acquisition, government liaison, statutory approvals, and compliance activities for Wind, Solar, and Hybrid Renewable Energy projects across Gujarat.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage acquisition of Government, Private, and Forest land, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
Coordinate with Revenue, Forest, Panchayat, Railway, Mining, R&B, DILR, and other government departments for approvals, NOCs, mortgage permissions, and land-related clearances.
Liaise with Mamlatdar, Talati, SDM/Prant Office, District Administration, Surveyors, and local authorities to facilitate land allotment and NA approvals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, village panchayats, local leaders, and community stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to prevailing land allotment policies, GRs, and RE sector regulations.
Support Project Execution, Legal, Land, Asset Management, and CSR teams on land-related matters.
Minimize Right of Way (ROW) issues and local-level challenges during project execution and operations.
Maintain MIS and records pertaining to land approvals, statutory payments, taxes, NA cess, compliances, and timelines.
Monitor policy developments, government notifications, and competitor activities relevant to Renewable Energy projects.
Ensure timely compliance with all land-related statutory requirements for operational and under-development projects.
Desired Profile
6-9 years of experience in Land Acquisition and Government Liaison.
Prior experience in Renewable Energy, Infrastructure, Power, or Transmission sector preferred.
Good understanding of land acquisition procedures, land records, title verification, and statutory approval processes.
Strong networking, stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
Experience working with government authorities and local administration in Gujarat will be preferred.
