Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Purchase Manager to join our organization in Kochi, India. In this pivotal role, you will lead our procurement operations, driving efficiency, cost optimization, and supplier excellence. You will be responsible for developing and executing purchasing strategies that align with organizational objectives while maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with all procurement standards. Develop and implement comprehensive procurement policies, procedures, and strategies that align with organizational goals and support operational efficiencyForecast procurement requirements in collaboration with department heads to ensure timely and efficient sourcing of goods and servicesEstablish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers, vendors, and contractors, recognizing local market dynamics and opportunities in the Kochi regionManage purchasing systems and approval workflows, ensuring purchase orders, supplier setup, pricing, contract terms, and approval limits are maintained accurately and in compliance with company policyNegotiate pricing, contracts, and terms strategically to achieve optimal value, quality, and service levels while maintaining transparent communication with all stakeholdersSource and evaluate new suppliers and products to enhance quality, efficiency, sustainability, and innovation across the organizationCoordinate with relevant departments to resolve delivery discrepancies, pricing variances, and supplier invoice queries in a timely and professional mannerSupport organizational sustainability and responsible sourcing objectives by identifying local, ethical, and environmentally responsible suppliers where commercially viableMonitor and analyze procurement budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-control initiatives to maximize financial efficiency and accountabilityCollaborate with Finance and Operations teams to optimize spending, maintain financial compliance, and ensure transparent reportingOversee inventory control, stock levels, and reorder points to prevent shortages or overstock situationsMitigate risks related to supplier reliability, quality, delivery, and supply chain disruptions through proactive analysis and contingency planningMaintain proper documentation, contracts, and records for auditing and reporting purposesPrepare comprehensive reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, cost savings, and operational efficiency for executive reviewPerform additional responsibilities as needed to support organizational objectives and drive continuous improvement
Qualifications
