Job Description

We're looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented General Maintenance Technician to join our facilities management team in Kochi, India on a fixed-term contract basis. In this role, you'll be the backbone of our operations, ensuring that all building systems, equipment, and infrastructure function smoothly and efficiently. You'll work collaboratively with various departments while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Perform routine inspections of premises, building systems, and equipment to identify maintenance needs and potential issues before they escalateConduct preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespanDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems efficiently and implement effective solutions with precisionRespond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns, demonstrating resilience and decisiveness under pressureInstall, service, and repair equipment and fixtures, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance at all timesMaintain detailed records of maintenance work, service logs, spare parts inventory, and equipment performance metrics for organizational transparencyMonitor equipment performance and utility systems, making data-driven recommendations for improvements and cost optimizationEnsure proper cleaning, servicing, and maintenance of filters, coils, ducts, and ventilation systems to support operational efficiencyFollow all safety procedures, regulations, and relevant safety guidelines to maintain a secure work environment for all staffCoordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and services when necessary, ensuring seamless collaborationWork closely with other departments to minimize operational disruption and support organizational goals through effective communicationParticipate in training programs and professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and stay current with industry best practicesSuggest innovative improvements to maintenance processes and procedures for better efficiency and cost controlMaintain a clean and organized work area, properly storing tools and materials in designated locations

Qualifications
