General Maintenance Technician- FTC

Perform routine inspections of premises, building systems, and equipment to identify maintenance needs and potential issues before they escalateConduct preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespanDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems efficiently and implement effective solutions with precisionRespond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns, demonstrating resilience and decisiveness under pressureInstall, service, and repair equipment and fixtures, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance at all timesMaintain detailed records of maintenance work, service logs, spare parts inventory, and equipment performance metrics for organizational transparencyMonitor equipment performance and utility systems, making data-driven recommendations for improvements and cost optimizationEnsure proper cleaning, servicing, and maintenance of filters, coils, ducts, and ventilation systems to support operational efficiencyFollow all safety procedures, regulations, and relevant safety guidelines to maintain a secure work environment for all staffCoordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and services when necessary, ensuring seamless collaborationWork closely with other departments to minimize operational disruption and support organizational goals through effective communicationParticipate in training programs and professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and stay current with industry best practicesSuggest innovative improvements to maintenance processes and procedures for better efficiency and cost controlMaintain a clean and organized work area, properly storing tools and materials in designated locations

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

Proven experience in general maintenance, facilities management, or building systems maintenanceStrong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems with hands-on troubleshooting experienceProficiency in equipment installation, servicing, and repair across multiple building systemsSolid understanding of preventive maintenance principles and best practicesKnowledge of safety protocols, regulations, and compliance standards relevant to facilities maintenanceExcellent organizational and record-keeping skills with the ability to maintain accurate documentationStrong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset to diagnose and resolve issues efficientlyAbility to work independently and collaboratively as part of a teamPhysical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditionsEffective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and external contractorsTime management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond to emergenciesCommitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment

Preferred Qualifications

Technical certification in HVAC, electrical work, or plumbingSafety certifications such as OSHA or equivalent safety trainingExperience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)Knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainability practices in facilities managementExperience in a hospitality, corporate, or large-scale facilities environmentDemonstrated track record of implementing innovative maintenance solutionsCustomer service orientation with a focus on supporting organizational objectives
