Engineering Executive

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Engineering Executive to lead our engineering operations in Kochi, India. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of engineering maintenance, staff development, and operational efficiency while driving innovation and continuous improvement across our facilities. As an Engineering Executive, you will partner with senior leadership to develop strategic initiatives, manage complex projects, and foster a culture of excellence, safety, and collaboration within your team.

Lead daily engineering staff briefings and coordinate work assignments in alignment with organizational objectives and operational prioritiesDevelop, implement, and oversee comprehensive maintenance programs for critical systems including HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, and building infrastructureSupervise and mentor engineering team members, providing constructive feedback to ensure adherence to safety protocols, operational efficiency, and preventative maintenance standardsAnalyze and prepare detailed consumption reports on utilities (power, water, steam, and gas) to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize resource utilizationMonitor contractor performance and ensure all maintenance and repair work complies with health and safety policies, contractual agreements, and quality standardsEvaluate workflow processes and recommend strategic improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtimeIdentify high-potential team members and develop targeted career advancement plans to build organizational capabilityConduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching to support professional growth and skill developmentEstablish and maintain rigorous standards for team professionalism, appearance, and conductDesign and deliver comprehensive onboarding and training programs for new employees, ensuring they understand safety protocols and operational proceduresDevelop and execute customized staff training initiatives that address evolving business needs and equip team members with essential technical skillsCreate and manage weekly staff schedules that balance anticipated business demands, budget constraints, and service excellence standardsCommunicate proactively with senior leadership regarding any service disruptions or operational challengesMaintain detailed documentation of all maintenance activities, equipment performance, and team metrics for analysis and reporting

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field; or equivalent professional certification with demonstrated expertiseMinimum 5+ years of progressive experience in engineering operations, maintenance management, or facilities leadershipTrade Certificate or advanced technical qualification in a relevant engineering disciplineProven expertise in planning, scheduling, and managing comprehensive maintenance programs across multiple building systemsStrong proficiency in budget management, cost analysis, and P&L responsibilityDemonstrated leadership experience managing and developing technical teams of varying sizesExcellent knowledge of health and safety regulations, industry standards, and best practicesProficiency in vendor and contractor management, including negotiation and performance monitoringStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisionsExceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to prepare reports and present findings to senior managementProject management capabilities with experience overseeing complex maintenance and capital improvement initiativesProblem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement effective solutionsProficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office applicationsStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives simultaneouslyCommitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellenceAbility to work collaboratively across departments and foster an inclusive, supportive team environment
