You will be reporting to the Engineering Manager at Geographies & Marketplace Experiences - India Technology Center, who will guide you to grow and build your career path. You will be directly working within a team of dedicated engineers that work on the same solutions. You share your experience and technical expertise such that we improve on the longer-term technical strategic direction.

As a Senior Software Engineer for the Geographies & Marketplace Experiences team, you will be part of a mission critical team focused on building a high-throughput, low-latency, fault-tolerant Order Management platform that drives Nike’s Digital transformation and growth strategies.

A minimum of 7+ years software development experience.Experience working in a highly collaborative, multi-discipline development team environmentMust have experience on Salesforce Service Cloud/ Apex and amp-scriptTypescript proficiency for at least 4 yearsWorking knowledge of Java and relevant frameworksExperience working in a distributed/cloud-based environment (e.g. AWS Services, GCE, Azure etc.)Independently drive end-to-end project execution—owning design, development, cross-team coordination, and deliveryExperience in micro service architecture, domain driven design, SOAP and RESTful Services using JavaExperience with distributed processing of large datasets.Demonstrate an AI-first mindset, actively leveraging AI powered developer tools (e.g., Cursor) to accelerate development and learning.Experience in Test Driven development – with Junit, Mockito, cucumber, Playwright etc.,Experience with monitoring and tracing tools like Splunk, SignalFx, Kibana/Grafana etc.Experience with continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests. Continuous delivery experience preferred.Working knowledge of Scrum and agile principles.Working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with globally distributed and diverse teamsDemonstrate end-to-end ownership of project/capabilities that includes requirements evaluation, design, implementation, code reviews, observability, maintenance and support.Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teamsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or other relevant subject area, or equivalent experienceExperience with CI/CD (Jenkins) and engineering hygiene: GitHub workflows (branching, PR reviews, code quality, collaboration) and release readinessObservability and operational readiness using Splunk and SignalFx, including monitoring and alerting

The Following Would Be Nice-to-have

Experience in designing and implementing highly scalable web applicationsExperience working with NoSQL data stores like DynamoDB and relational data stores like MySQL, Oracle etc.Exposure to digital commerce, omni-channel and Supply Chain domain areas like customer support/service applications, order management, fulfilment, and warehouse management

What You Will Work On

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of the Shared Platforms Technology Engineering team, which is responsible for building next generation tools and services that serve consumer ready product information to Nike experiences and back-end teams.

In this role, you will

Participate in technical development and delivery of consumer service application leveraging Salesforce Service Cloud (a.k.a Agentforce Service) & backend cloud native micro servicesContribute ideas for new features and identifying technical areas for improvement proactively collaborating with product team members at Nike to design, develop, and deploy a highly scalable digital asset management system and services.You will use your in-depth experience in software development to write clean, tested, and well-documented code, as well as perform peer code review process and mentor other engineers on the team.You will remain current with industry trends and participate in development of key innovation features.You will support the team’s agile practices, promoting continuous improvement and collaboration to deliver top-notch consumer experiences at scale.Leverage GenAI powered capabilities (RAG, prompt driven workflows, MCP and spec driven architectures) to deliver faster, scalable, intelligent capabilities & experiencesEnsure quality of the code and products throughout the entire development lifecycle (DevOps) Ensure continuous improvement in performance, scalability, extensibility, reliability, usability, and availability of the platformLeverage agile methodology concepts for quality, delivery and continuous improvementParticipate in sprint planning and other scrum ceremonies. Help team plan and execute sprint ticketsWork in full DevOps model in the entire tech stack including designing, implementing, deploying, monitoring, and operating services at scaleResolve technical issues and remove blockers for the teamActively participate in code review and feedback for other developersOwn build, test, release, and production support for team‑owned capabilities, ensuring stability, incident resolution, and continuous improvementImplement strong observability and operational readiness using Splunk and SignalFx, including monitoring and alertingChampion an AI‑first mindset, leveraging modern tools such as Cursor to improve test productivity, learning, and quality outcomesCollaborate closely with engineering, product, and platform teams across geographies, driving quality from design through productionPerform API integration, development and platform testing for Salesforce Service Cloud (a.k.a Agentforce Service) with Java‑based applications with synchronous and asynchronous integrations (Kafka, Amazon MQ)
