Role Purpose

Manage end-to-end Stores & Material Flow operations from incoming material receipt to GRN, storage and issue to assembly lines, vendors and internal functions. Ensure timely material availability, inventory accuracy, traceability and efficient material movement while maintaining high standards of 5S, safety, FIFO/FEFO and process discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Manage incoming material receipt, physical verification, GRN processing, labeling, binning and storage.Ensure timely and accurate material issue to assembly/production lines, vendors and internal users.Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting, reconciliation and systematic stock control.Ensure proper handling of rejected, excess, obsolete, returnable and shortage materials.Coordinate with Purchase, Planning, Quality, Production, Vendors and Logistics for material availability and discrepancies.Ensure proper material traceability and smooth flow from Incoming → Stores → Line/Vendor → Production.Drive 5S, visual management, space utilization and material-flow improvements.

Technical Skills

SAP / ERP – GRN, material receipt, issue, transfer and stock transactions.Inventory Management, FIFO/FEFO and Cycle Counting.Warehouse & Material Handling practices.Material Line Feeding / Kitting / Kanban.MS Excel and basic data analysis.Barcode / QR-based material tracking.Power BI / Dashboarding will be an advantage.Understanding of Lean, 5S and Visual Management.

Digitalization & Analytics

Drive paperless and digital Stores processes.Implement barcode/QR scanning and real-time inventory visibility.Develop dashboards/MIS for inventory, shortages, ageing, GRN turnaround and material movement.Analyze stock variances, material consumption and stores productivity.Identify opportunities for automation and reduction of manual transactions.

People & Soft Skills

Qualification & Experience

Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or related discipline.5–10 years of relevant Stores/Warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.Hands-on experience with SAP/ERP-based stores operations preferred.Experience in production line feeding, inventory control and material handling.Exposure to digitalization, analytics, Lean or continuous improvement will be an added advantage.
