About the Role

The Zonal Manager – Rural RCU is responsible for overseeing Risk Control Unit (RCU) activities across all products within the Rural Banking platform for the assigned zone. This role involves evaluating business processes through sample checks of loan proposals, conducting fraud investigations, and implementing control measures to mitigate risk and minimize losses. The role holder will also analyze critical MIS reports to identify irregular trends and ensure compliance with internal processes and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

Manage all RCU activities for the assigned zone.Conduct risk control, fraud control (FCU/RCU), investigations, and field verifications.Perform pre-disbursement sample verification to check document authenticity.Carry out post-disbursement sample checks through borrower visits.Monitor RCU agencies regularly to ensure performance and compliance.Coordinate with location teams on fraud-related issues, including fraud rackets and internal fraud investigations.Mitigate risks associated with outsourcing processes to DSAs and CPAs.Maintain and share MIS reports at approved intervals, ensuring data accuracy.Conduct audits to verify process compliance across assigned business units.

Secondary Responsibilities

Implement projects related to core risk infrastructure, tools, systems, and data.Stay updated on emerging fraud trends and share insights with relevant departments.Manage fraud surveillance mechanisms on banking transactions.Collaborate with branches, business departments, and support units to investigate fraud and implement corrective measures.

What We Are Looking For

Education

Graduation: Any discipline.Post-graduation: MBA in Finance.

Experience

10 to 18 years of relevant experience in sales, with exposure to risk control and fraud investigation preferred.
