Position Summary

Position responsible for registering Request for Proposals (RFP), decrypting the secured links, and renewing groups with 2 to 4999 (Regional Market Renewal) and more than 5000 Lives (NA Renewal). This cluster of 4 processes consists of responsibilities currently performed by the Underwriting Associates and New Business Coordinators when registering (logging/assigning) RFP’s from the brokerage community within MetLife U.S. Affiliate systems. The associate will be required to perform daily operations functions. Analyze data associated with Group products such as Life, Long Term Disability, Short Term Disability, and Life and Vision products while dealing with renewal and NBL requests.

Job Responsibilities

Essential Functions

Review Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to ensure all required basic information is provided. Register and create cases in the intake system (Salesforce.com / Majesco). Upload relevant documents into the intake systems (Salesforce.com/ Majesco / Livelink). Manually enter and update data in Excel spreadsheets. Forward emails with missing information to the onshore escalation teams. Perform any other essential duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Ensure accurate first-time handling of cases that require referral. Conduct initial quality checks on submitted documents to ensure completeness and compliance with required standards. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather missing data or clarifications needed for case completion. Maintain organized records of all submitted and processed cases for easy retrieval and audit readiness. Monitor case status updates in the intake system and follow up proactively to ensure the timely progression of each request. Ensure all information and documents are shared only with the correct and authorized recipients to prevent miscommunication, avoid potential escalations, and safeguard against any data breach. Demonstrate strong adherence to process Do’s and Don’ts by consistently following established protocols, while maintaining the highest standards of ethics and integrity in all work activities.

Renewal & NBL Requests

Analyze data associated with Group products such as Dental, Long Term Disability, Short Term Disability and/or Life & Vision products. Update a data base and selected system application with information provided by the sales force, which will be used to prepare the quote Analyze census and plan design, then extract the information needed for a manual quote. Prepare and submit the manual quote to the stateside partner who will make the final underwriting decision. Provide renewal support for Dental, LTD, STD, and Life products. Responsible for ordering reports associated with the current plan, including premium history, claim history, and census information. Complete initial analysis for rate guarantees, small Life and LTD renewals. A stateside partner who will make the final underwriting decision. Meet specified metrics for completion of new business quotes and renewals.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Strong understanding of the U.S. insurance industry, including key products, processes, and terminology. Awareness of U.S. cultural norms and professional communication practices to support effective client interaction. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, basic formulas, sorting, filtering, and spreadsheet maintenance. High efficiency in reading and writing skills with strong comprehension abilities, ensuring accurate interpretation and error-free handling of information.
