Job Description
Able to apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel, etc. to property walls, ceilings, and furniture.Able to effectively use brushes, spray guns, or rollers.Responsible for maintaining property color scheme specifications.Responsible for maintaining and matching shades of particular areas.Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces, such as bare wood or metal, for finish coats.Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water and/or abrasive blasting.Cover surfaces with appropriate material for protection during painting and post appropriate paint signs.Clean up and store paint and painting tools and equipment in appropriate areas.Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a professional painter, preferably in a hospitality or commercial settingProficiency in various painting techniques, including color mixing, application methods, and surface preparationExtensive knowledge of different paint types, finishes, and their appropriate usesExperience with timber treatments and specialty coating applicationsStrong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, consistent resultsPhysical ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periodsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentBasic understanding of safety procedures and proper handling of painting materialsFlexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as neededProficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plusPrevious experience in the hospitality industry is advantageous .
