ABOUT THE ROLE

A Quality Manager in an automotive company oversees quality assurance and control systems to ensure vehicles and components meet safety, regulatory, and customer expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Roles & Responsibilities:

Ensure Customer Rejection PPM within the Target

Ensure FG Parts Inspection as per plan

Ensure FG Parts Quality as per Quality Plan

Communicate and get countermeasures from Production Department for Quality

Maintain Mean time between Receipt to Clearance of FG Parts

Maintain all relevant documents and standards required for Firewall Quality

Ensure Dock audit before Part Delivery

Conduct FML Inspection and ensure Product & Process online

Conduct meeting as per the plan and communicate the issues

Facilitate rework or segregation by production for any quality issues

Update rejection Data and communicate to all concerned

Run SPC for all FG Parts and plot the results and communicate all concerned

Provide guidance and leadership to key quality staff

Provide leadership and management in the areas of ISO and TS certification

Ensure all products are in compliance with customer requirements and specification

Manage the quality documentation and files required by the company and customers

Train and develop an appreciation of TQM within the organization ensuring quality

instilled throughout the operation

Verified compliance to standards

Understand, support and educate the company on the cost of quality concept

Maintain and track all required documents required on the various products and

material

Should keep a close track of internal audits that are being conducted

Update the board regarding TS 16949,ASES,Q1MSA activities

IATF 16949 activities, responsible for activities mentioned in the procedure

Ensure the Warranty Claims within the Target

Maintain Response time to Customer for any issued as per the 8D Clauses

JOB REQUIREMENTS

M.E / B.E / D.M.E (Mechanical, Automobile, Production Engineering) with 15-20 from good organization.

Minimum of 5+ years as development engineer and / or designer in exhaust business

Deep knowledge of manufacturing process design & lean manufacturing methodologies.

Proven experience pursuing operational excellence within manufacturing operations.
