The Role and Impact As an Emulation Engineer, you will play a critical role in advancing pre-silicon verification processes by developing and enhancing emulation models for cutting-edge designs. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve building, integrating, and debugging hardware collateral on ZeBu platform. This work ensures seamless development, validation, and testing environments, directly contributing to innovation in Intel's product development cycle. By driving advancements in emulation technologies, the group supports Intel's commitment to delivering high-performance, reliable products to meet customer and industry needs. Key Responsibilities - Develop emulation models from RTL designs using synthesis, partitioning, and routing tools. - Integrate and debug hardware and software collateral for emulation testing of new features. - Define and implement new capabilities, tools, and methodologies to improve emulation model usability in pre-silicon verification. - Analyze and optimize emulation environments and test suites for performance and efficiency. - Collaborate with design, verification, validation, and software teams - Develop scripts, automation flows, and methodologies to support emulation utilization and streamline processes. - Participate in SoC and IP bring-up, root cause analysis for testbench issues, and emulator environment debugging. - Enhance hybrid emulation environments, combining virtual platforms and emulation models.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication or related field with 10 - 12 yrs of experience Experience in Emulation Model Builds and Debug Experience in ZeBu or Veloce or Palladium Emulation Platforms Experience in RTL code debug [Verilog preferred] Experience in Reset and Boot debugs at SoC level designs Programming skills: Python, C/C++, Perspec, Verilog Good multi-tasking skills Team-player, great communication skills Preferred Qualifications - Familiarity with Synopsys tools and emulation platforms like Zebu or HAPS. - Knowledge of Intel CPU architecture or x86 architecture. - Exposure to system-level emulation-based verification and virtual platforms. - Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills.
