About Astro Lokal :

Astro Lokal is a fast-growing audio, video, and chat-based platform operating across multiple regional languages. We are building a safe, engaging, and trustworthy community experience for our users and hosts. As we scale rapidly, we are looking for proactive and detail-oriented professionals to join our Trust & Safety team.

Role Overview :

We are looking for a Community Moderator who will be responsible for reviewing and moderating audio, video, and chat conversations on the platform. The role involves ensuring compliance with community guidelines, identifying inappropriate or harmful content, and maintaining a safe and positive user environment.

The ideal candidate should have strong judgment skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive content professionally.

Key Responsibilities :

Review and moderate audio, video, and chat conversations as per platform guidelinesIdentify, flag, and escalate inappropriate, harmful, or policy-violating contentEnsure consistent implementation of community standards and moderation policiesAudit recorded conversations to maintain quality and compliance standardsMaintain accurate moderation records and contribute to periodic reportsEngage with users and hosts to clarify platform policies when requiredStay updated with evolving moderation guidelines and safety protocolsSupport the Trust & Safety team in maintaining platform integrity and user trust

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in any disciplinePrior experience in content moderation, community moderation, or a similar role preferredStrong understanding of community guidelines and platform safety standardsGood decision-making and analytical skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in Kannada & English (Read, Write & Speak mandatory)Basic knowledge of CRM tools, Excel, and computer operationsAbility to handle sensitive content in a professional and composed mannerHigh attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as in a team

Preferred Skills :

Experience in Trust & Safety operationsFamiliarity with social, audio, or video-based community platformsStrong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced and high-volume moderation environment
