The Technical Lead for US Targeting, Recommendation, Optimization & Measurement (TROM) provides technical leadership for data, analytics, and technology capabilities that enable more effective targeting, personalized recommendations, optimization, and measurement across the US organization.

This role serves as a bridge between business strategy, data science, engineering, analytics, and technology delivery. The Technical Lead is responsible for translating business needs into scalable technical solutions, establishing sound architecture and engineering practices, coordinating delivery across teams, and ensuring solutions are reliable, secure, maintainable, and measurable.

The successful candidate combines strong technical depth with delivery leadership and stakeholder management. They can operate effectively in a complex, cross-functional environment while providing hands-on technical direction to engineering and analytics teams.

Job Responsibilities

Description of the area

Lead technical design and delivery of targeting, recommendation, optimization, and measurement capabilitiesTranslate business and product requirements into scalable technical architectures and implementation plansProvide technical leadership across data pipelines, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and analytical/ML solutionsGuide engineering teams on architecture, coding standards, testing, CI/CD, monitoring, security, and operational readinessPartner with data scientists to productionize and scale machine learning and recommendation modelsIdentify technical risks, dependencies, performance bottlenecks, and scalability concernsLead technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of complex production issuesEnsure appropriate data quality, governance, privacy, security, and reliability practicesDrive engineering best practices, automation, documentation, and continuous improvementMentor engineers and influence technical decisions across teamsPartner with stakeholders across functional areas and develop comprehensive stakeholder communication plans. Effectively manages relationships to act as a trusted advisor, proactively shapes stakeholder perspectives, and navigates intricate stakeholder environments by resolving conflicts to ensure alignmentIndependently leads the analysis of moderate to complex delivery problems, driving root cause analysis and eliciting complex stakeholder needs

Qualifications

Technical Skills

Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in data management and AnalyticsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldStrong experience in software engineering, data engineering, or enterprise technology deliveryExperience as a Technical Lead, Lead Engineer, Architect, or similar senior technical roleHands-on development experience with AWS cloud services like Lambda, EC2, EMR, Redshift, Glue, S3, Athena, IAM, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB etcHands on working experience in AWS GLUE ETL tool and having good knowledge on any of the ETL toolsStrong hands on exposure to AWS Analytics services particularly Lambda, Step functions, EMR, Athena, Glue, Data-PipelinesStrong knowledge of CS fundamentals, system design, REST APIs, databases, data engineering, distributed systems, and cloud architectureExperience with SQL, data pipelines, ETL/ELT, APIs, and large-scale data processingExperience with modern engineering practices including Git, automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and production supportExperience working with data science/ML solutions/Agentic AI and productionizing models is preferredStrong problem-solving, communication, technical leadership, and stakeholder-management skillsExcellent ability to analyze complex data sets, troubleshoot issues, and optimize data workflowsCreative problem-solving mindset to address data-related challengesAbility to convey complex technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience in Commercial Pharma lifescience domain -Experience in Customer Engagement, Marketing, ForecastingPayer/PBMs, DRG lives, MMIT Access positions, CareGaps, Campaign data IQVIA Sales, 867 Sales, 340B ,and other discounts programs etc.
