As an IT Observability Engineer ,working on various monitoring tools at Micron Technology, you will support the installation, maintenance, and administration of Micron’s monitoring & Observability tools under your responsibility. Provide the ability to gather report and alarm on infrastructure software or hardware for the purpose of ensuring reliable operations of information technology. Specialization is required in user support, system performance management tools, security, knowledge module development, and tuning of systems monitoring to ensure always higher system performance. You will work with Micron’s Business Units to ensure solutions meet or exceed business requirements. You will Administer, monitor, and support the monitoring and observability services. Maintain and support the tools to enable global application and infrastructure monitoring. Monitor systems and proactively address performance bottlenecks Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure needs. Document system configurations and operational procedures. Support in incident resolution and troubleshooting . Document changes and standard operating procedures

Responsibilities And Tasks

Work with customers to gather requirements, propose, engineer, and provision solutions. Install, configure, support, and maintain monitoring solutions Manage system monitoring setup and standardization of features and usage. Maintain systems by keeping them tuned and compliant with company standards for optimum performance and capacity utilization. Maintain standards of operations, such as backups, naming standards, and configurations. Coordinate planned downtime and software installs of your assigned services. Communicate system status and coordinate maintenance activities. Support day-to-day operations and provide customer support. Provide 24x7 on-call technical support and expertise for customer issues and service provider escalation. Monitor the environment for potential system issues and resolve appropriately. Adhere to the change management process for any planned maintenance, or when potential issues are identified. Provide training for new team members. Adhere to Micron’s established processes and policies. Continually work to improve operations. Adhere to established service and operational level agreements. Propose and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system. Identify service improvement opportunities. Communicate and collaborate with peer groups (enterprise architects, security team, network team, etc.).

Must-Have Skills

Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Splunk, OpsRamp, AppDynamics, NetBrain, NetScout & Cisco Catalyst center)Experience with Infrastructure and Application monitoring, Windows, Linux and Cloud Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).Basic scripting knowledge with TypeScript, React, Ansible, and Python scriptingExperience in Building dashboards for real-time visibility of system health and performance.Familiarity with ITIL or incident management workflowsExcellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills Exposure in define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets aligned with SRE principles with Engineering teams to support reliability engineering

Good-to-Have Skills
