What You’ll Be Doing...

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior SAM Flexera Specialist with a strong track record in end-to-end Publisher Management. You will be responsible for executing the daily lifecycle management software publishers within the Flexera One platform. In this role, you will drive initial publisher onboarding, translate software contracts, continuously manage deployment data to maintain accurate Effective License Positions (ELPs), and identify continuous cost optimization opportunities across the software estate.

Your Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

Executing the end-to-end lifecycle of software publishers within Flexera, from hands-on initial onboarding through ongoing compliance monitoring.Interpreting EULAs, Master Services Agreements (MSAs), and purchase histories to accurately build and maintain license records and product use rights (PUR) in Flexera.Producing and updating defensible, audit-ready ELP reports for managed publishers by reconciling entitlements against actual software installations and usage.Actively identifying software optimization opportunities by flagging shelfware, over-licensed applications, and unmanaged installations to drive continuous cost savings.Normalizing raw inventory, application catalog items, and software signatures utilizing Technopedia and Flexera's recognition engines.Monitoring Flexera Beacon servers, inventory agent deployments, inventory alerts, and data processing jobs to ensure daily platform health.Supporting ecosystem integrations between Flexera and external tools, including ServiceNow CMDB, SaaS APIs, and secondary discovery sources .Developing and presenting executive-level reporting on software compliance risk, ELP status, and realized cost savings.

What We’re Looking For...

You are a highly analytical thinker with a deep, hands-on understanding of software asset management tools and publisher licensing frameworks. You possess excellent technical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a proactive approach to maintaining data accuracy and uncovering cost savings. You thrive in a highly integrated data environment and are passionate about operational excellence.

You'll Need To Have

5 to 7 years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) or IT Asset Management (ITAM), with at least 3+ years of dedicated hands-on experience using Flexera.Proven track record in executing end-to-end publisher management, successfully onboarding and continuously managing software publishers within Flexera.Strong understanding of software licensing frameworks for major vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, VMware/Broadcom, Red Hat).Solid operational knowledge of ecosystem integrations, including ServiceNow CMDB, SQL queries, and discovery agent data flows.Advanced data analysis skills utilizing Excel and relational database logic to manage and synthesize complex software entitlement data sets.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

Flexera Certified Professional / Administrator (Flexera One / FNMS) and/or CSAM (Certified Software Asset Manager) or IAITAM certification.Understanding of how SAM intersects with Cybersecurity, specifically regarding the identification of End-of-Life (EOL) or End-of-Support (EOS) software.Scripting and automation skills (such as Python or PowerShell) to streamline API integrations and automate repetitive data management tasks.
