Senior UX Engineer

About The opportunityDemandbase is building toward an AI-first future, where intelligent, agentic experiences help customers understand what matters, make decisions, and take action faster.We are looking for a Senior UX Engineer to help make that future real.This is a UX role with deep engineering capability, not a traditional frontend engineering role. You will start with the customer problem and use design, code, and AI to turn ideas into exceptional production experiences.You will sit at the intersection of Design, Product, AI, and Engineering, helping us move from concept to high-quality implementation faster. Beyond building experiences yourself, you will create the workflows, patterns, tools, and guardrails that help our Design organization get better experiences into the product with greater speed and fidelity.You will also help establish UX Engineering as a new function at Demandbase, bringing UX culture and the voice of the customer closer to our India Product and Engineering teams while partnering deeply with our US-based Design organization.What you'll doBuild polished, production-ready Demandbase AI experiences from concept through launch.Start with customer needs and translate design intent into thoughtful, high-quality working experiences.Partner closely with Design, Product, AI, and Engineering to explore and ship new agentic interaction patterns.Create workflows that help designers move from ideas and prototypes into production more effectively.Close gaps between design intent and implementation through hands-on development and structured pre- and post-launch reviews.Identify experience-quality issues earlier and help teams prioritize improvements faster.Use AI-assisted development extensively to accelerate exploration, implementation, testing, and iteration.Create reusable components, patterns, tools, and guardrails that improve quality across teams.Bring strong UX craft and customer advocacy into the India Product and Engineering organization.Teach and mentor designers and engineers, helping establish durable AI-enabled ways of working.Help define what great UX Engineering looks like at Demandbase.What we're looking forExceptional UX and product judgment, with a strong understanding of customer workflows and needs.Strong frontend engineering skills and experience shipping complex web applications to production.Ability to move fluidly between design thinking, interaction design, prototyping, and production code.Deep experience with modern frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript.Highly proficient with AI-assisted development tools and comfortable using AI throughout the development lifecycle.A builder mindset: curious, resourceful, comfortable with ambiguity, and motivated to make ideas real.Experience creating reusable systems and patterns, not only one-off implementations.Strong attention to usability, accessibility, performance, interaction details, and product quality.Strong communication and influence across Design, Product, and Engineering.Experience working effectively across distributed and global teams.A desire to help other designers and engineers become more effective builders.What will make you stand outYou have built AI-native, conversational, or agentic product experiences.You can show work where understanding the customer changed what you ultimately built.You have personally taken an experience from concept or Figma into production code.You have helped establish a UX Engineering, Design Engineering, or Design Systems practice.You actively experiment with AI development workflows and can explain where AI helps, where it fails, and how you validate its output.You have created tools or workflows that made an entire design or engineering team more effective.You care as much about the shipped customer experience as the original design.What success looks likeYou will help Demandbase:Ship AI experiences faster with a higher quality bar.Catch gaps between design intent and implementation earlier.Build reusable interaction patterns for emerging AI experiences.Give designers better ways to get their work into production.Strengthen the partnership between Design, Product, and Engineering across the US and India.Bring a stronger voice of the customer into the India organization.Most importantly, you will help ensure that as Demandbase becomes more AI-first, the experience becomes more useful, understandable, trustworthy, and human.
