Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Optometrist Trainer role based in Hyderabad. The Optometrist Trainer will design and deliver training programs for optometrists and optical staff, focusing on clinical skills, customer service, and adherence to company protocols. Responsibilities include developing training materials, conducting classroom and hands-on sessions, evaluating trainee performance, and providing ongoing coaching and feedback. The role involves collaborating with clinical leaders and store management to identify skill gaps, standardize best practices, and support continuous professional development. The Optometrist Trainer will also ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of patient care and safety across locations.QualificationsStrong clinical optometry knowledge with experience in refraction, contact lens fitting, and basic ocular health assessment.Training and facilitation skills, including curriculum development, lesson planning, and delivering engaging in-person workshops.Communication and interpersonal skills to explain concepts clearly, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Organizational and planning abilities to manage multiple training schedules, track progress, and maintain accurate training records.Comfort with using digital tools and basic computer applications for training content creation, presentations, and reporting.Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Optometry from a recognized institution; current registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable.Prior experience in a training, mentoring, or supervisory role in optical retail or clinical settings is highly beneficial.Commitment to patient-centric care, quality standards, and continuous learning; ability to work on-site in Hyderabad on a full-time basis.
