Full job description

The Network Engineering Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing highly available, scalable, and secure data center network infrastructures. The role requires strong technical expertise in routing and switching, Cisco ACI, load balancing technologies, DNS/DHCP/IPAM (Infoblox), and wireless solutions. The successful candidate will lead a team of network engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal network performance, security, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage data center network infrastructure to support enterprise applications and services.

Lead a team of network engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical escalation support.

Configure, maintain, and optimize routing and switching technologies (Cisco, HP, etc. ) for high availability and performance.

Implement and support Cisco ACI fabric for automated, policy-driven datacenter networking.

Manage load balancing infrastructure using F5 BIG-IP and Citrix ADC to ensure application resiliency and traffic optimization.

Administer Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) systems for efficient network addressing and naming management.

Collaborate with security teams to ensure network compliance with corporate policies and industry standards.

Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues using appropriate tools and methodologies.

Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational runbooks.

Participate in capacity planning, technology refresh, and disaster recovery planning activities.

Stay current with emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

A master's degree or equivalent experience is a plus.

12+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a lead or senior role.

Proven experience managing datacenter network infrastructure at scale.

Technical Skills:

Routing and Switching: Cisco, HP/Aruba; strong understanding of OSPF, BGP, STP, VLANs, HSRP, VRRP, QoS, etc.

Cisco ACI: Design, deployment, and policy configuration experience.

Load Balancing: Expertise in F5 BIG-IP and Citrix ADC.

Infoblox DDI: DNS, DHCP, and IPAM configuration and management.

Skills with added advantage

Microsegmentation: Implementation experience with Illumio.

Scripting/Automation: Knowledge of Python, Ansible, or REST APIs for network automation will be an added advantage.

Security and Compliance: Familiarity with firewalls, NAC, and zero-trust network design will be an added advantage.

Certifications (Preferred)

CCNP / CCIE (Enterprise or Data Center).

F5 Certified Technology Specialist (CTS).

Citrix Certified Expert level (CCA-N).

Infoblox Core DDI Certified Professional.

Illumio certifications (if available).

ITIL Foundation.
