Manager, PV Analytics Center of Excellence – JD

The Manager, PV Analytics Center of Excellence is responsible for successful execution, and close-out of activities aligned with the overall vision, strategy, and objectives of the Patient Safety Function. The Manager, PV Analytics Center of Excellence contributes to the ongoing development, implementation, and successful execution of the scientific, operational, regulatory and custom reporting efforts in line with the overall WWPS needs. The Manager, PV Analytics Center of Excellence reports to the Associate Director, PV Analytics Center of Excellence, within Patient Safety organization. This person applies a combination of life sciences strategy, leadership, reporting/visualization and AI experience to drive successful servicing of information needs across WWPS.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following

Data Analytics and Reporting

Build and continuously improve data analytics through supporting models that provide insights into efficiency, quality, stakeholder feedback, and key performance indicators to drive timely and informed decision makingMaintain and develop reporting databases and analytics applications in environments such as MS Office Suite, Power BI, Cognos, SAP Business Objects, Spotfire and/or other BMS environmentsLeverage internal data systems and tools to efficiently maintain data and reporting processes to minimize manual data retrievingChampion the adoption and integration of AI-powered tools and platforms across the team, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous learning in alignment with BMS's enterprise AI strategyContribute to qualitative and quantitative research projects through collaboration with data trends from cross-functional teams (Pharmacovigilance, Epidemiology, etc.)Utilize data analysis tools to aggregate and analyze data to make actionable recommendations and answer key business questionsRun and maintain reports regarding activities, outcomes, and be prepared to deliver presentations to management team on a regular and ad-hoc basisCollect data for monthly reports and quarterly reviews regarding activities, outcomes, and trends of the Advisor teamAnalyze key stakeholder complaints, address rapidly, and discuss with applicable functional leads to collaborate and propose impactful and realistic solutionsMaintain data integrity and traceability across the transformation lifecycle from Source to TargetSupport program and project team activities required to implement innovation initiatives, with a specific focus on AI-enabled process automation and intelligent analyticsContribute to the management and prioritization of process improvement and innovation initiativesDefine and provide metric reporting and data analysis for PS initiatives including relevant insights to facilitate the decision-making processAssess and interpret the process impact of new PV tools and processes

Skills/Knowledge Required

Life Sciences, Information, or similar background (Bachelor's, Master's)5–7 years Drug Safety/Pharmacovigilance experienceAdvanced Power BI, Cognos, SAP Business Objects, Spotfire skills with 5–7 years of development experienceDatabases (Postgres, Oracle, MS Access, Databricks, Impala, SharePoint List, etc.)Programming languages (SQL, VBA, Python, etc.) Reporting platforms and services (Cognos, SAP Business Objects, etc.)Knowledge and application of commercial coding dictionaries (MedDRA, WHO Drug)Ability to organize/curate data and see the big picture from scattered pieces of informationKnowledge of taxonomies, ontologies, and other knowledge management constructsAnalytical and strategic thinking skills requiredStrong PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skillsKnowledge of validation processes and associated documentation — including AI/ML model validationExcellent verbal, writing, presentation, and project management skillsStrong strategic orientation with ability to translate into operational priorities and plansAbility to promote cooperation and commitment within a team to achieve goals and deliverablesAbility to resolve complex problems and manage difficult stakeholder situationsAbility to lead the development of critical path analyses and support scenario planningPromotes and practices effective pro-active decision-making, ensuring timely coordination and dissemination of informationDemonstrated ability to work on multiple projectsStrong willingness to collaborate with cross-functional partnersGrowth mindset with a passion for leveraging emerging AI technologies to solve real-world Drug Safety and PV challengesFlexible team member with positive attitude, friendly demeanor, ability to prioritize projects and balance competing prioritiesConfidentiality and integrity are required

Skills/Knowledge Preferred

Familiarity with AI/ML concepts including supervised/unsupervised learning, natural language processing (NLP), large language models (LLMs), and Generative AI toolsDemonstrated ability to evaluate and onboard AI/GenAI tools within enterprise environments, including prompt engineering and use case developmentPython libraries for AI/ML such as scikit-learn, pandas, or experience with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI)
