The Manager, Business Project Management role is part of the Program Management Office, responsible for driving the end-to-end transition of product engineering capabilities, managing steady-state delivery across engineering pods once onboarded, and building the governance backbone (standards, dashboards, forums)

Role Summary

The Manager of Business Project Management is responsible for overseeing project execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and managing teams throughout the project lifecycle. This role involves driving project success by maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, managing communication and change initiatives, and proactively addressing potential risks or obstacles. Responsibilites

Hire, evaluate, and supervise team members, providing training, guidance, and performance management to support business objectives. Lead project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of business objectives. Manage project-level communication and change management activities, tailoring messaging and delivery based on project complexity and scope. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including project leadership and workstream leads, to drive project success. Monitor project capacity, scope, and dependencies to optimize resource allocation and ensure alignment with strategic goals. Identify, evaluate, and resolve obstacles that may impact project timelines or outcomes, escalating critical issues to senior management with recommended solutions. Develop and implement project management best practices, methodologies, and templates to improve efficiency and standardization. Oversee financial tracking, status reporting, and risk management for projects, ensuring compliance with governance requirements. Provide mentorship and training to project team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Skills

Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience, with at least two years in project management.Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Prosci, or Agile certifications) is a plus.Strong track record of working with senior leadership and stakeholders to secure buy-in and drive strategic decisions.Experience with change management methodologies and frameworks (e.g., ADKAR, Kotter’s 8-Step Change Model).Solid understanding of technical project management principles, tools and techniques.Previous people leadership experience preferred.Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, and project execution skills.Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple workstreams.
