The Functional Expert for websites will join the Business Solutions team under the WebSites Digital Product Owner, ensuring that Brands, CXA and Digital stakeholders collaborate seamlessly when defining requirements for both maintaining existing sites and creating new ones; they'll focus on rethinking and optimizing current features, developing innovative functionality, reviewing and enhancing CMS components, and streamlining processes for content creation and publication in Web Channels; translating cross functional business objectives into clear, actionable specifications.
They'll work hand-in-hand with the broader Digital team while enforcing governance standards and best practices to deliver consistent, highquality experiences across all brand websites; they will also provide the Websites Digital Product Owner with visibility into ongoing initiatives and requests, and bring a fresh point of view to roadmap design, shaping where our sites could and should evolve. Throughout this analytical process, they will continuously deliver value by fixing issues, enhancing user experiences, and rolling out new features.
As the Functional expertfor websites, you'll work handinhand with the Websites Digital PO, leveraging your deep expertise in ecommerce and editorial platforms to understand user behavior, identify pain points and surface highvalue opportunities; you'll translate those insights into clear functional specifications, balancing immediate fixes with visionary commerce features and CMS innovations to shape a future where our sites not only showcase key products but deliver seamless, storydriven shopping experiences that drive measurable business impact.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Website's Digital PO to define and prioritise web initiatives.
Maintain a transparent backlog of requests, fixes, and feature ideas.
Draft concise functional specs, user stories and acceptance criteria.
Translate user behaviour insights into clear functional requirements.
Audit and optimise existing site features.
Propose and specify next-generation commerce functionalities and CMS enhancements.
Streamline content creation and publication workflows.
Provide ongoing roadmap input and a fresh point of view on site evolution.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Project Manager, Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role focused on websites or digital platforms.
Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools (e. g., Kanban, Scrum, Jira, Confluence, etc. ).
Knowledge of website performance metrics and tools (PowerBI, Google Analytics, heatmaps, A/B testing, etc. ).
Familiarity with digital marketing, e-commerce, or SaaS environments is a plus.
Soft skills:
Empathetic communicator who listens actively and builds trust with stakeholders.
Knowledge of French / Spanish is preferred.
Collaborative problem solver who navigates challenges with curiosity, patience, and a we'll figure it out together attitude.
Skilled at guiding conversations (with non-technical people) to translate business needs into clear, actionable work and technical specs.
Technical skills:
Strong understanding of product and web development processes, UX/UI principles, SEO best practices, and content management systems (CMS).
Expertise in managing and optimising CMS platforms such as Magnolia, Drupal, WordPress or any other.
Experience with CMS customisation, plugin development, and third-party integrations.
Knowledgeable on leveraging/using web analytics tools (e. g., Google Analytics, PowerBI) to generate reports, interpret user behaviour, and support data-informed decisions for site enhancements.
Strong understanding of website security best practices and compliance standards.
Knowledge of website optimisation, accessibility standards, and performance enhancements.
Experience with front-end and back-end development concepts to effectively collaborate with engineering teams.
Familiarity with API integrations and headless CMS architectures.
Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
