The Position

The SAP GBT (Global Batch Tracing) Solution Consultant leads complex ERP solution delivery, proactively solves product issues, and contributes to architecture. In this role, you will be the architect of our product genealogy, ensuring seamless end-to-end traceability across our complex global network. You will design, implement, and optimize SAP GBT solutions that allow Roche to respond with agility to regulatory requirements and quality events, ensuring our life-saving medicines reach patients with uncompromised integrity.

Key Job Responsibilities

Lead functional design, configuration, and implementation activities for SAP GBT solutions across manufacturing and supply chain operationsCollaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable SAP solutionsConfigure and support SAP modules related to batch traceability, inventory management, warehouse management, procurement, and manufacturing integrationSupport end-to-end batch genealogy, recall management, and product traceability processesEnsure compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations including FDA, GxP, DSCSA, and global serialization requirementsConduct fit-gap analysis, solution workshops, and process mapping sessionsDevelop functional specifications and coordinate with technical teams for custom developments and integrationsParticipate in testing activities including SIT, UAT, regression testing, and validation documentationProvide production support, issue resolution, and continuous process improvement recommendationsSupport data migration, cutover planning, and hypercare activities during deploymentsCreate user training materials and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for business users

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field7+ years of SAP functional consulting experience with at least 3 years focused on SAP GBT or batch traceability solutions. including full-cycle implementationsStrong experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environmentsHands-on expertise in SAP modules such as PP, SD, MM, QMExperience with SAP WM/EWM and ATTP is highly preferredExperience working in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industryStrong understanding of regulated manufacturing and compliance requirementsExperience with serialization, batch management, and product recall processesExperience with SAP IDocs, ALE, and RFC for data transfer between multiple SAP and non-SAP instancesAbility to lead workshops and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience working in global delivery or matrixed environments

Preferred Qualifications:

SAP certification in relevant logistics or supply chain modulesExperience with SAP ATTP, SAP ICH, or other traceability and compliance platformsFamiliarity with validation processes and CSV documentation in regulated environmentsKnowledge of Agile and SAP Activate methodologiesExperience integrating SAP with MES, LIMS, or third-party warehouse systems
