About The Job

Join the Clinical Study Support and Operations (CSSO) team, where you will play a vital role in supporting clinical study operations while ensuring compliance with global standards and regulations. In support of the Clinical Supply Chain Operations (CSCO) team, who is responsible for ensuring the efficient and compliant management of pharmaceutical supply chain operations, you will be responsible for managing the financial operational aspects of clinical supply chain activities.

As Clinical Study Budget Support, you will manage orders, change orders, and invoices for Clinical Supply Chain Project Management (CSC PM) and Performance Partnerships Resources (PPR) departments in clinical supply. You will support clinical trials operations through robust financial controls and cross-functional collaboration with global partners and vendors including but not limited to contract research organizations (CROs), contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs), depot providers, interactive response technology (IRT) vendors, and other clinical services providers.

Working in a dynamic, international environment, you will be a key liaison between operational teams and vendors, ensuring precision, compliance, and operational excellence in all financial processes. Your role will directly contribute to the successful execution of clinical trials by maintaining accurate budget tracking and resolving financial discrepancies efficiently.

Main Responsibilities Include

Manage end-to-end contract processes from Work Order (WO), Purchase Order (PO), and Change Order (CO) creation through invoice management to closure in the COUPA system, including monitoring and tracking status, providing regular updates to operational teams and stakeholders, and contributing to study cost reconciliation activities and contract closure; Serve as the main contact for operational teams (order givers) in charge of request for proposal and quotation processes, and for vendors regarding budget inquiries Request and manage Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements, Supplier IDs, Cost Centers, and HACAT codes; Launch WO/PO/CO requests in COUPA and follow-up until final approval Ensure seamless integration of orders into Sanofi enterprise resource planning (ERP) and backend systems, managing integration issues and errors proactively Support smooth invoice payment processes through accurate goods receipt integration and timely resolution of discrepancies, including conducting statistical or systematic invoice controls Participate in regular budget review meetings with stakeholders, contributing to study cost monitoring, expenditure tracking, accrual follow-up, and proactively communicating the need for Change Orders; escalate any unresolved issues with an appropriate action plan Manage and resolve overspending situations, errors, and financial discrepancies by identifying, investigating, and resolving invoice discrepancies, tax code issues, while maintaining consolidated databases and documentation repositories Contribute to other clinical study support activities as needed, including Clinical Trial Support Manager (CTSM), Global Supply Study Support (GSSS), or Clinical Trial Support Associate (CTSA) activities, to support broader clinical trial management objectives

About You

Proven experience in financial operations, budget management, or procurement support within pharmaceutical, clinical research, or regulated industries Solid knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, procurement platforms (COUPA experience preferred), and financial processes including purchase orders, invoicing, and contract management Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, international teams and manage multiple stakeholders including vendors, operational teams, and finance partners Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (written and oral) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills and commitment to compliance and operational excellence
