Associate Business Systems Analyst, Commercialization Technology

As a Business Systems Analyst within our global Commercialization Technology team, this role will support the evolution of portfolio governance operations capabilities. You will partner with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technology teams to understand business needs, translate them into technology requirements, and support the delivery and continuous improvement of innovative technology solutions.

This position will provide an opportunity to contribute across the technology delivery lifecycle, including requirements gathering, backlog refinement, testing, documentation, and production support. The successful candidate will work with business and technical stakeholders to understand processes and user needs, help define effective technology solutions, and develop knowledge of enterprise technologies, data, Agile delivery, and emerging capabilities such as AI and analytics.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Product Owners and System Architects to conduct business analysis activities, ensuring alignment with business and product goalsUnderstand customer needs to gather, analyze, and document business processes and product requirementsWork with Product Managers and customers to define scope and value for new developmentsCollaborate with Business SMEs and Product Management in prioritizing release scopes and refine the Product backlogEnsure non-functional requirements are included and prioritized in the Product and Release BacklogsFacilitate the breakdown of Epics into Features and Sprint-Sized User Stories and participate in backlog reviews with the product teamClearly express features in User Stories/requirements so all team members and stakeholders understand how they fit into the product backlogEnsure Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done are well-defined and understoodStay focused on software development to ensure it meets requirements, providing proactive feedback to stakeholdersDevelop and execute effective product demonstrations for internal and external stakeholdersMaintain accurate documentation of configurations, processes, and changes

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and 2 to 4 years of information systems experience as a business analystDemonstrated experience serving as an information systems business analyst supporting enterprise software or data solutionsAbility to deliver defined technical assignments while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional teamAbility to quickly learn unfamiliar technologies, platforms, and business processesEagerness to learn and grow in a software development environment

Functional Skills:

Must-Have Skills

Experience with writing user requirements and acceptance criteria in agile project management systems such as JIRAHands on experience with project management and business analysis conceptsExperience with Agile software development methodologies and ability to work effectively on projects using Agile methodologyExperience providing support to IT system users, including troubleshooting production issues, providing training, and participating in incident responseWorking knowledge of application security concepts, including authentication, authorization, and access controlsExperience working within Agile or Scrum delivery methodologiesAbility to create clear technical documentation, including designs, diagrams, configuration instructions, and operational support proceduresAbility to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders and collaborate across global, virtual, and cross-functional teams
