Costing & Estimation Engineer
Position
Costing & Estimation Engineer – Solar Projects
Qualification
Minimum B.E./B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE).
Candidates fresher or with relevant experience in solar project costing and estimation will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review project cost estimates and Sales BOMs for solar projects.
Analyze project requirements, technical specifications, drawings, and BOMs for accurate costing.
Coordinate with Sales, Design, Purchase, Projects, and other internal teams to obtain required inputs.
Prepare cost estimates for electrical and civil works based on project requirements.
Review material quantities, specifications, makes, and applicable costs.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of BOMs before final approval.
Support budget vs. actual cost analysis and identify cost variations.
Maintain and update costing databases, pricing sheets, and MIS reports.
Follow defined costing processes, formats, and approval procedures.
Required Technical Skills
Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge is mandatory.
Good understanding of Excel formulas.
Knowledge of data validation, conditional formatting, Pivot Tables, and basic Excel data analysis.
Ability to work with large data sets and develop/maintain costing sheets.
Basic understanding of electrical systems, solar PV projects, and engineering BOMs.
Good analytical and numerical skills.
Preferred Experience
Experience in Solar PV / Renewable Energy / EPC / Electrical Projects.
Experience in cost estimation, tender estimation, project costing, or BOM preparation will be an added advantage.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Candidate Profile
