Role- Safety Management System8 years of aviation experience, preferably in à Part-145, MRO, airline engineering, or aviation technical environment.TTT(Train the trainer certification is mandatory)At least 2-3 years of relevant exposure to Safety, Quality, Compliance Monitoring, or operational risk management.Strongly preferred Practical experience in a Part-145 maintenance organisation. Understanding of maintenance processes, documentation, tooling, inspections and release processes.Experience working with technicians, certifying staff, engineers and production personnel.A. Safety Reporting and Hazard Identification Administer the organisation's internal safety reporting system.Receive, register, classify and track safety reports, hazards, occurrences and near misses.Review reports for completeness and coordinate with relevant departments for additional information. Encourage personnel to report hazards and unsafe conditions.Support the principles of Just Culture and positive reporting culture. Maintain a central hazard register. Identify recurring hazards and systemic safety concerns.Ensure significant safety issues are promptly escalated to the Safety Manager and relevant management.B. Safety Risk Management Facilitate hazard identification and risk assessment activities.Support departments in conducting formal safety risk assessments.Apply the organisation's approved risk assessment methodology.Evaluate hazards in terms of severity, likelihood and overall risk. Develop and coordinate appropriate mitigation measures with responsible managers.Maintain and update the Safety Risk Register. Monitor the implementation of risk mitigation actions.Conduct effectiveness reviews to determine whether implemented controls are achieving the intended result. Escalate overdue or ineffective mitigation actions.Particular attention should be given to MRO-related risks such as maintenance error, human factors, foreign object damage, incorrect tooling, configuration control, engine transportation and handling, contractor activities and production pressure. Facilitate root cause and contributing factor analysis.
