We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist
In This Role, You Will
Provide technical leadership for Java and API-based solutions, with a focus on scalable, secure and resilient service design. Define and review solution architecture, application design and integration patterns across distributed systems and microservices. Act as a trusted technical advisor to engineering teams, supporting design decisions, technical problem solving and delivery planning. Drive engineering best practice across code quality, testing, automation, observability and release readiness. Review and optimise API performance, security controls, data access patterns and operational stability in production environments. Support impact assessments, technical design reviews and governance checkpoints for change initiatives and platform enhancements. Collaborate with stakeholders across product, infrastructure, support and delivery teams to ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements. Contribute to technical documentation, standards, reusable patterns and knowledge sharing across the wider engineering community.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot and service-based application development. Deep understanding of API architecture, including Representational State Transfer (REST), Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) and integration design principles. Good working knowledge of cloud platforms and services, particularly Amazon Web Services, and their application in enterprise solution design. Strong understanding of data persistence and database technologies, including MongoDB and relational databases such as Oracle. Experience in technical design, including impact analysis, high-level design and low-level design. Sound knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, agile delivery methods and DevOps principles. Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical outcomes across teams. Experience improving engineering practices through code review, quality assurance, production support and continuous improvement.
