Honeywell India Technology Center in Gurugram is seeking a R&D Scientist I position to take ownership of the Elemental Analytical Laboratory and manage its day-to-day operations.
Role Scope
The role involves working in a highly dynamic environment to characterize and evaluate complex molecules using a broad range of analytical instruments.
Schedule Expectations
The successful candidate must be flexible to work in shifts and, when required, on weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays.
Responsibilities
Hands on operation, analysis, calibration & accurate elemental value determination using ICP OES, ICP MS , WD XRF, Combustion ion Chromatography. Maintain inventory & provide basic troubleshooting for these instruments. Collect, organize, and interpret data from instruments & enter those results into LIMS. Interact with R&D and Pilot Plant staff to provide support, analyzing and characterizing materials for Honeywell Technology. Maintain compliance with HSE policies and procedures and adopt HSE requirements for safe laboratory operations. Communicate with instrument vendors & keep abreast of new analytical method /technique on elemental chemistry. Recommend and implement safety, quality, and productivity improvements. Occasional lifting and moving of bags, samples, and other objects up to 10 pounds may be required.
Qualifications
Minimum MSc in Analytical/ Inorganic Chemistry from reputed university. 3-4 years’ working experience in Refinery / Petrochemicals will be advantageous. Computer literate - including MS word and excel. Ability to work both independently, and in team environments.
Key Success Factors/Profile
Customer focus and result oriented individual Basic knowledge on safety pertaining to laboratory operation. Knowledge of Foundational & fundamental chemistry with strong knowledge on mentioned instrument is a must have. Basic knowledge of statistics.

Excellent communication skills & passion for Analytical Science. Familiar or understanding of different refinery & petrochemical stream will be an added advantage. Flexible mindset & self-driven individual.
