Job Purpose and Impact
Execute shipment of commodities in breakbulk/tanker vessels while coordinating with internal and external counterparties/agencies ensuring compliance and quality management.
Key Accountabilities
End To End Trade Execution : Pre-shipment, post-shipment and Finalization (60%)
Ensure seamless execution for bulk vessel shipments, involving contracts management, planning, execution and finalization of shipment, independently with minimal supervision. Handle contractual notices : Nomination, chartering advice, appropriation,extension and FM notices. working with Financial Structures to get L/C’s confirmed and attention to detail knowledge on L/C checks/execution. Documents creation & presentations under various payment terms including CAD, Letters of Credit etc. Independently manage operational escalationsSupport updation of SOP’s. Perform compliance screening of vessels. Execute paper trade settlements(circles/washouts/string)Support backup planningInduct & train new team members. Manage LOI issuance process and ensure risk aversion in the exection. Provide information,documents and reports for audits.post audit adhere to corrective action plan prepared by business. Handling disputes on quality,shrinkage,LOP’s and fumigation. Handling month end activities and support month end reconciliation of P&L.
Communication (30%)
Maintain and develop relationships with intercompany/3rd party customers, vendors, traders and other business partners. Review of open contracts with business in reference to shipment planning. Closely work with finance, trader and Middle office teams on month end closure process.
Process improvement (10%)
Under guidance work on opportunities to optimize costs and Time efficiency. Conduct routine risk analysis on execution plans/contracts to provide recommendation for next steps. Under direct supervision, participate in process improvement analysis to search for process efficiency opportunities and deliver data driven recommendations
Qualifications
Post graduate in any field (preferably In Interntional Busines or Export/Import Documentation)Fluent in both written and spoken EnglishProficiency in Analytical tools, MS Office (word/excel/Power Point/PBI/Aries etc.),Minimum 3-5 Years of exp in the Field of Supply Chain, Shipping & Documentation. Flexible and adaptive to changing conditions in the business/markets/industry. Effective decision making and problem solving skills. Knowledge regarding vessel handling and port operations. Knowledge in grains and other Agri commodities handling. Understanding of WCR implications and other Trade Execution related metrices. Should be well versed with GAFTA/FOSFA/NAEGA/ANEC contracts and it’s application. Knowledge of UCPDC/LCs/INCOTERMS etc
