You will act as a trusted partner to market Total Rewards teams and senior stakeholders, providing advice on compensation strategy, annual reward processes, market benchmarking, job evaluation, pay structures and rewards governance.
The role offers an opportunity to shape Total Rewards practices across markets, lead key regional initiatives and build the capabilities of local Rewards teams.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic input and consultation to market Total Rewards teams in the design and implementation of local Total Rewards strategies, aligned with global and regional guidance and market priorities. Act as the primary Total Rewards point of contact for assigned markets, businesses, joint ventures, zones and categories. Partner with market Rewards teams to plan and execute annual compensation processes, including salary review budgeting, salary review execution, short-term bonuses, long-term incentives, job sizing, gender equal pay, living wage analysis and salary surveys. Support and lead Market Compensation Committees, ensuring that key reward decisions are reviewed and approved at the appropriate market, zone or corporate level. Analyse external compensation data, market trends and salary survey results to provide reliable insights and recommendations to business and HR stakeholders. Develop and review pay structures in partnership with local Rewards teams and conduct market pricing exercises for critical, new or high-demand roles. Conduct job analysis and job evaluation activities, ensuring that positions are accurately understood, appropriately graded and managed in line with relevant governance requirements. Promote the simplification and standardisation of position evaluation processes across markets while maintaining high levels of data quality. Lead or coordinate regional and global Total Rewards projects, ensuring effective market coverage and delivery within agreed timelines. Support the transition of selected Rewards activities to shared service teams, ensuring a seamless process and positive employee experience throughout the transition and hypercare period. Ensure compliance with compensation policies and governance requirements, including appropriate documentation and approval of key reward decisions. Develop and deliver Total Rewards training programmes for HR and Rewards communities. Coach and mentor Total Rewards colleagues, particularly new team members, and contribute to capability-building initiatives across the function.
What Will Make You Successful
A university degree or an equivalent qualification. At least five years of Human Resources experience gained within a large organisation with progressive people practices and/or an HR consulting environment. Strong experience in compensation, rewards, employee cost management or workforce budgeting. Practical knowledge of job analysis and job evaluation methodologies, such as IPE or an equivalent methodology. Experience in external market benchmarking, compensation analysis, market pricing and salary structure design. Strong understanding of annual compensation processes, including salary reviews, incentive programmes and long-term incentive arrangements. Experience in developing and using HR metrics, KPIs and data-driven insights. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to analyse complex datasets and translate findings into practical compensation recommendations. Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills. The ability to influence without formal authority and build credible professional relationships across functions and geographies. Strong project-management, organisational and time-management capabilities. The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage demanding deadlines. A collaborative mindset and the ability to contribute effectively within multifunctional and international teams.
Additional Experience That Would Be An Advantage
Experience working in the FMCG sector. Experience using SAP HR or similar HR systems. Knowledge of local employment law and labour regulations. A professional qualification in remuneration or compensation methodologies.
