About The Role

We are seeking a strategic, analytically strong FP&A professional to join our team as an Senior Analyst

II - FP&A, supporting Marketing mini-CFO, in partnering with Cvent's Global Marketing organization —

spanning Brand, Demand Generation, Events, Digital, Product Marketing, and Regional Field

Marketing.

This role sits at the intersection of Marketing and FP&A. You will be supporting Marketing mini-CFO to

drive marketing efficiency and ROI analysis, but you must also deeply understand the *bookings and

pipeline world* — how marketing activity converts into leads, MQLs, SQL, pipeline, and ultimately

bookings. You will help Marketing and Finance leaders answer the core questions: “what is working,

what is not working, and where should the next marketing dollar go.”

In addition to this, the individual would also be required to drive core planning processes such as annual

budgeting, monthly reforecasting, and cost tracking, while building and interpreting the full marketingto-

bookings funnel — website traffic, digital conversion, event conversion, leads, cost per lead, lead

conversion by tactic, and marketing ROI by LoB. The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen

with genuine fluency in what a B2B marketing function should deliver, and the drive to translate data

into clear recommendations for the Marketing organization and senior leaders.

This role involves frequent interaction with senior leaders across Marketing, Sales, and Corporate

Finance teams based in the U.S. and India.

▪ Marketing Finance Partnership & RI (primary focus)

Act as support to Marketing mini-CFO to support to the Global Marketing organization,

partnering with marketing leadership to translate growth strategies, campaign plans, and

pipeline targets into annual budgets and rolling forecasts.

Build, own, and continuously improve the Marketing ROI financial model by LoB —

connecting spend, activity and outcomes end to end.

Develop and track key Marketing efficiency metrics, including:

▪ CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost)

▪ CLTV (Customer Lifetime Value)

▪ Cost per Lead/MQL (by LoB, by tactic)

▪ Lead Conversion Rates (by tactic / channel), CTR

▪ Marketing ROI

Analyze the full funnel — website traffic, digital conversion, event conversion, leads, and cost

per lead — and tie each stage to financial and pipeline outcomes.

Drive deep-dive analytics on event ROI, digital campaigns, tradeshows, and content

marketing performance.

Deliver a clear point of view on what's working and what's not working across marketing

tactics and channels, with concrete, prioritized recommendations for the marketing

organization.

Build and evaluate business cases for marketing initiatives — campaigns, media

investments, Martech, and events — using ROI, CAC, payback to guide spend prioritization.

Support and advise on resource-allocation decisions across marketing channels and

geographies.

▪ Bookings & Pipeline Fluency

Understand and work fluently with the sales forecasting and bookings process, connecting

marketing funnel metrics (MQLs, pipeline, bookings influence) to bookings outcomes by LoB.

Partner on pipeline-trend and funnel analysis — conversion rates, sales cycle length, and

pipeline velocity — to assess how marketing feeds the bookings engine.

Align marketing investment views with bookings and pipeline targets so finance tells one

consistent growth story.

▪ Stakeholder & Cross-functional Work

Partner with Sales, Marketing Ops, and Data/Analytics teams to ensure consistent, trusted

measurement frameworks.

Create executive-level dashboards, presentations, and financial insights to support strategic

initiatives, and present them confidently to non-financial and senior audiences.

Lead or support ad-hoc strategic projects, including M&A / acquisition integration and costoptimization

initiatives.

Extract and analyze data using tools like Salesforce, Adaptive Insights, Excel, and other

analytics platforms.

▪ 7-10 years of experience in FP&A, business finance, or a related field.

▪ Preferred background (either path works): experience in a B2B organization either (a) in

Marketing Data & ROI Analytics, or (b) in Finance partnering with Marketing — with real

exposure to marketing funnel dynamics and bookings/pipeline.

▪ Deep understanding of B2B marketing funnel metrics, digital campaign dynamics,

channel/tactic-level ROI, and a clear view of what a B2B marketing function should bring to the

business.

▪ Solid understanding of the bookings and pipeline world — sales forecasting, funnel/conversion

analysis, and how marketing influences bookings

▪ Strong data-driven mindset and the ability to structure and interpret large, imperfect datasets to

generate insights.

▪ Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and metric development — including the ability to

think through a marketing ROI model from first principles.

▪ Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM, Adaptive Insights or similar tools preferred.

▪ Excellent communication skills with the ability to present insights to non-financial and senior

stakeholders; proven ability to work closely with senior leaders is strongly preferred.

▪ Strong drive, curiosity, and willingness to learn.

▪ MBA or CFA preferred
