Job Description
The Cloud Operations Engineering team ensures the reliability, security, and scalability of cloud platforms through automation, observability, incident management, and continuous optimization. The team enables faster innovation by providing resilient cloud services, improving operational efficiency, and delivering an exceptional customer and developer experience across multi-cloud environments.
Responsibilities
GCP Infrastructure & Operations
Build, configure, manage, and support highly available GCP environments.Own day-to-day technical operations of production and non-production cloud infrastructure.Deploy and manage workloads running on GKE and other GCP services.Implement infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices.Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, application deployment, scaling, and availability issues.Support migration and modernization of workloads from on-premises environments to GCP.
Kubernetes & Container Platform
Deploy, manage, troubleshoot, and optimize Kubernetes/GKE clusters.Troubleshoot pods, services, deployments, ingress, networking, storage, resource utilization, and cluster-level issues.Support Docker-based containerized applications.Implement scalable and highly available container platforms.Work closely with application teams to resolve deployment and runtime issues.
CI/CD & Automation
Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot end-to-end CI/CD pipelines.Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployment, and operational activities.Develop automation using Terraform, Python, Bash, and related tools.Improve deployment reliability through standardization and automation.Integrate CI/CD pipelines with Kubernetes/GKE and cloud infrastructure.
Networking & Security
Troubleshoot GCP networking issues involving VPCs, subnets, routing, NAT, DNS, firewall rules, and load balancers.Implement and troubleshoot IAM roles, policies, service accounts, and access controls.Apply cloud security best practices across GCP environments.Diagnose complex connectivity issues across cloud, hybrid, and application environments.
Qualifications
10–15 years of overall IT/Infrastructure/Cloud experience.Strong hands-on expertise across GCP core services, including:Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)IAMCloud Monitoring and LoggingCloud SQLPub/SubVPC and networking servicesLoad BalancingCompute and storage servicesStrong hands-on experience with Terraform, preferably including Terraform Enterprise (TFE).Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, GKE, Docker, and containerized platforms.Experience with scripting and automation using Python and Bash.Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automated infrastructure provisioning.Hands-on experience implementing and supporting end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, or GCP-native CI/CD services.Strong knowledge of monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions.Good understanding of cloud security, IAM, encryption, access controls, and compliance requirements.Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, applications, networking, security, Kubernetes, and cloud services.GCP certification is mandatory.
