About the RoleAs SPM, you will own end-to-end product charters within the offline merchant payments stack — driving execution across merchant acquiring, the merchant app, agent app, KYC journeys, payouts & settlements, and Soundbox/EDC device experience. You will work closely with engineering, design, business/sales, operations, risk, and compliance to ship features that improve merchant activation, transacting behavior, and retention.

Key ResponsibilitiesOffline merchant acquiring — onboarding, activation, and lifecycle management of merchants accepting payments via QR, soundbox, and EDC (card machine) devicesMerchant app — product roadmap for the merchant-facing app used for transaction tracking, settlement visibility, device management, and supportAgent app — product for the field/feet-on-street (FOS) sales and service agent app used for merchant onboarding, device deployment, and servicingPayments, payouts & settlements — merchant payout cycles, settlement reconciliation, nodal account flows, and dispute/chargeback handlingKYC & compliance — merchant KYC/KYB journeys, RBI/PA-PG and PPI compliance touchpoints, re-KYC, and risk/fraud checks in the onboarding funnelDevices — soundbox (audio payment confirmation device) and EDC (card swipe/PoS machine) product lifecycle: procurement coordination, activation, connectivity (SIM/network), firmware, and after-sales serviceCross-functional ops & business — working with sales/BD, operations, risk, compliance, and device vendor teams to hit acquisition, activation, and retention targetsOwn the product roadmap for one or more of: merchant app, agent app, KYC/onboarding funnel, payouts & settlements, or device (Soundbox/EDC) experienceTranslate business and sales inputs into clear PRDs, user stories, and prioritized sprints; work daily with engineering and design to ship on timeTrack and improve funnel metrics — merchant onboarding TAT, KYC drop-offs, device activation rate, transacting merchant %, settlement TAT/accuracy, and app NPS/ratingsPartner with Ops and vendor/device teams to resolve merchant servicing issues (device faults, connectivity, replacements) and reduce turnaround timeWork with Compliance and Risk on KYC/KYB rule changes, RBI guidelines, and fraud/risk controls in onboarding and settlement flowsRun structured A/B tests and data-driven iterations on the merchant and agent appsCreate dashboards and reporting for leadership on acquisition, activation, retention, and settlement health

Requirements4–6 years of product management experience, with meaningful exposure to fintech/payments, merchant acquiring, lending, or B2B2C platformsHands-on experience with at least one of: merchant onboarding/KYC, payments/settlements, or device-led (PoS/IoT) productStrong analytical skills — comfortable with SQL and product analytics tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Clevertap, Amplitude)Experience writing PRDs, running sprint cycles with engineering, and working cross-functionally with business and ops teamsUnderstanding of the offline payments ecosystem — QR, Soundbox, EDC/PoS, UPI, card networks — is a strong plusExcellent communication skills and comfort working with field/on-ground business and ops stakeholdersBachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology required; MBA is a plus but not mandatory
