Key Responsibilities

Analyze and understand business and technical requirements, seeking clarifications where necessary.Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Java and related technologies.Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices.Participate in software design discussions and contribute to component-level design decisions.Work with relational databases to develop queries, stored procedures, and optimize database performance.Develop and execute unit tests and support integration and performance testing activities.Troubleshoot application issues, perform debugging, and contribute to root cause analysis.Support CI/CD processes, code reviews, and release activities.Work on microservices-based applications and API integrations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams in an Agile environment.Participate in application monitoring, performance optimization, and production support activities.Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Mandatory Skills

Strong understanding of SDLC, requirement analysis, and software engineering principles.Good knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and Coding Standards.Hands-on experience with Core Java and Java Enterprise application development.Experience with application servers and web servers such as Apache Tomcat, Apache HTTPD, or Nginx.Working knowledge of Relational Databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or MariaDB.Experience in writing and consuming RESTful APIs.Familiarity with unit testing and debugging tools such as JUnit and related frameworks.Knowledge of Git-based source code management.Understanding of Agile development methodologies.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Skills

Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, or similar Java frameworks.Exposure to frontend technologies such as ReactJS, Angular, Bootstrap, or jQuery.Knowledge of Microservices architecture and distributed systems concepts.Experience with Docker and containerized application development.Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and SonarQube.Exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Kibana, ELK Stack, or Nagios.Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting.Understanding of database tuning, indexing, and query optimization.Knowledge of Message Queues and event-driven architectures.Experience with API testing tools such as Postman and REST Assured.Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
