Senior Associate - Revenue Technology

Job Purpose

To assist in the enhancement and continuous improvement of ancillary, pricing and revenue management systems, ensuring they improve upon Air Indias revenue generation goals.

To support the integration and continuous improvement of these systems within the revenue management processes, focusing on increasing operational efficiency, accuracy, and profitability.

Role & responsibilities

Support System Enhancement

Assist in the evaluation and upgrade of existing revenue management systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary upgrades to optimize performance using operations research techniques.

Project Support

Aid in coordinating enhancement projects, ensuring seamless integration with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

Work with external vendors to carry out Proof of Concept testing of various Revenue Management related systems & applications

Help evaluate third party applications for adaptability with Air Indias requirements

Evaluation, implementation, contracting and monitoring of external systems which help RM generate incremental revenue.

Operations Research

To help in the creation and enhancement of new technological solutions using operation research techniques and AI/ ML into existing revenue management processes, ensuring they enhance efficiency, accuracy, and profitability.

Product Management

Developing products and solutions by feature definition, requirement gathering and product development to drive product adoption and satisfaction.

Performance Monitoring

Help monitor and analyze the performance of upgraded systems, supporting the establishment of key performance indicators and making recommendations for further enhancements.

Data Analytics & Modelling

Guide in utilizing advanced analytical techniques to analyze historical data, forecast demand, and optimize pricing strategies.

Evaluation of revenue uptick from new system enhancements through data analysis and statistical techniques

Vendor Interaction

Assist in managing relationships with technology providers, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality solutions that meet project specifications.

Collaborative Team Efforts

Work within cross-functional teams, contributing to system enhancement projects that align with Air Indias business strategies and revenue goals.

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

Skills/Qualities Required

Experience in usage of Python, SQL, Power BI and various AI related tools

Technical understanding and skills in Revenue Management Systems

Data analytics and visualization

Experience in automating business processes

Understanding of systems integration, interfaces and vendor assessments

Minimum Education requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related technical field.

Experience

Minimum: 2-4 years of experience in technology implementation, project management, or a role focused on enhancing systems, preferably within the airline or revenue management industry. Strong background and experience in data analytics, AI / ML and programming required.

Desired: 5+ years experience in implementing and optimizing revenue management systems, with a demonstrated understanding of project coordination and vendor management.
