The U.S. Consumer Services Team is responsible for our suite of consumer products, services, and experiences in the U.S., including our premium, cobrand, cash back, and lending portfolios, Membership Rewards, Global Travel & Lifestyle Services, the Centurion Lounge network, our Global Dining and Resy businesses, U.S. Consumer Banking, and best-in-class marketing programs across customer, prospect, and partner channels. The objective of the US Consumer Services Control Management Specialized Risk Management team is to provide subject matter expertise on specific Operational Risk topics to ensure the business unit (BU) is equipped with in-depth knowledge of risk-stripes to manage and mitigate these risks effectively; supports the BU with expert guidance for topical Operational Risk intelligence.

US Consumer Services is looking for a Sr. Analyst of Specialized Risk Managementfocused on ensuring control management is embedded in the day-to-day operations of our organization. It will involve extensive collaboration with multiple partners across numerous business units, functional areas, and geographies.

The Sr. Analyst, US Consumer Services Specialized Risk Management will:

Assist in day-to-day activities to support compliance with enterprise policies and programs pertaining to specific risk types (e.g., AEMP 04 – Financial Crimes Risk Management Policy)Assist in administrative activities to compile topical risk information, including emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory updates relevant to each area of expertise Assist in administrative activities required to compile materials and disseminate targeted training and awareness programs to increase understanding and management of specific risk topics within US Consumer ServicesAssist in specific activities / tasks required to support more senior team members in consultation on the design and implementation of controls tailored to specialized risk areasAssist in specific tasks / activities required to research and gather topical risk knowledge to share with BU process owners Assist in specific activities / tasks required to gather topical risk strategies and procedures to align with changes in the business environment and regulatory landscapeAssist in specific activities / tasks to gather relevant operational risk insights, better practices, themes, etc. across the enterprise

Responsibilities

2+ years of experience in operational risk management, Financial Crimes Compliance (e.g., within Risk and/or Internal Audit function) and understanding critical operational risk management lifecycle activities Project management, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience in process governance, establishing and overseeing robust decision-making processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks, and/or operational standards Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectively

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Risk Mgmt., or related field or certifications are advantageous Experience in at least one of the following: Assisting in day-to-day activities to support compliance with enterprise policies and programs pertaining to specific risk types and supporting with design/enhancement of procedures/standards by providing topic-specific insight Assisting in specific activities / tasks required to support advising on decentralized risk types into broader operational risk policies and programs
