DP-COE (Digital Photonics Center of Excellence), being part of Keysight Technologies has the responsibility for developing innovative products in the crucial portfolio segment of Oscilloscopes, Photonics, AWG (Arbitrary Waveform Generator), BERT (Bit Error Rate Tester), Digitizer, Logic Analysis, Protocol Analysis which provide fast, extensive insight and enable engineering teams to do their job faster, with higher quality. We serve our customers in the Computer, Semiconductor, Wireless, Automotive, Storage and Communication, Quantum industries with leading edge products and solutions. Keysight Solution teams work closely with DP-COE to provide required solutions to these industries.

Responsibilities

As a Test & Measurement Software Engineer (AI Solutions), you will develop and integrate software that brings AI-powered capabilities into our digital measurement instrument products, in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment with international teams. You will work on defined assignments under the direction of the senior engineer on site and the Solutions Architect, delivering reliable, well-tested, maintainable software through the full development lifecycle. This is a deliberately broad role: expect to move across product features, test automation, evaluation harnesses, and developer tooling depending on what the team needs, which makes it a strong fit for an engineer who wants to build both AI and measurement depth rather than specialize narrowly on day one.

You will work closely with the senior engineer, Solutions Architect, R&D Project Manager, Product Management, QA and validation, and other stakeholders to deliver new product offerings and improve existing ones. There will be significant ongoing interaction with our design teams located in the United States and Germany, so the candidate should be a strong team worker and should be able and willing to collaborate across sites and time zones.

Qualifications

Essential:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science (or equivalent) with strong software engineering skills. Typically 4-5 years of relevant software development experience. Proficiency in one or more modern software languages such as C++ or C#. Solid grounding in software design patterns, testing, and debugging, with the ability to work independently on defined assignments. Experience with Git and CI/CD pipeline workflows. Demonstrated experience delivering software components into production or product environments. Familiarity with — and a strong desire to learn — how AI-powered software is built (e.g., retrieval-augmented generation and agentic techniques). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent team player, responsive and accountable. Self-starter. Willing and able to quickly learn new applications and technologies. Willing and able to collaborate with international teams (US, Europe).

Preferred

Working knowledge of, or hands-on exposure to, Keysight instruments like oscilloscopes, BERTs or AWGs — or a strong foundation in a closely related measurement or signal-processing domain with the ability to ramp quickly. Experience developing instrument, embedded, or real-time software, including hardware/software integration or signal-processing pipelines. Hands-on exposure to AI/ML libraries or agentic frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, or similar orchestration toolkits. Experience building test automation frameworks or evaluation tooling for non-deterministic systems. Exposure to deploying AI/ML models on edge or embedded platforms. Familiarity with responsible AI practices and explainability tooling (e.g., SHAP, LIME). Atlassian tool experience — Bitbucket, Confluence, Jira. Scrum agile software development process background. Test-driven development experience.
