Role: Product Manager (Wearables)

What will you do?

As a Product Manager – Wearables, you will be responsible for driving the end-to-end productlifecycle of boAt’s wearable portfolio, including smartwatches, fitness trackers, andconnected wearable devices — from consumer insight and product ideation to NPD, NPI,launch, category growth, and post-launch success.The role requires a strong understanding of consumer technology, wearable trends, productdevelopment, and commercial business acumen. You will work closely with design, engineering,software, R&D, quality, supply chain, marketing, and external ODM/EMS partners to buildinnovative and differentiated wearable products for the Indian and global markets.

Key Responsibilities:

NPD & NPI: Lead end-to-end new product development and introduction across concept, specifications, design, engineering, prototyping, validation, manufacturing, and launch.

Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define product strategy and roadmap for the wearables portfolio based on consumer needs, market trends, competition, technology evolution, and business objectives.

Product Ideation & Innovation: Identify emerging consumer needs and technology trends across smartwatches, fitness tracking, health features, sensors, displays, connectivity, battery, and AI-enabled experiences to create differentiated products.

Product Development Lifecycle: Own the complete product lifecycle — from opportunity identification, concept validation, business case, feature definition, prototyping, pilot production, launch, and scaling to product enhancement and end-of-life.

Consumer Insights & Market Research: Conduct consumer research, analyze customer feedback, identify usage trends, and translate insights into product features, specifications, pricing, and positioning.

Technology & Feature Definition: Work with hardware, software, app, and engineering teams to define product specifications, feature requirements, user experience, and technology roadmap.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with R&D, design, software, app, quality, supply chain, marketing, sales, and finance teams to ensure seamless product development and launches.

ODM/EMS Management: Work with domestic and international ODM/EMS partners to drive product development, engineering execution, timelines, quality, cost, and production readiness.

Competitive Benchmarking: Track competitors and global wearable technology trends across product features, design, technology, pricing, consumer proposition, and go-to-market strategies.

Go-to-Market (GTM): Define launch plans, product positioning, pricing, key propositions, and product storytelling in partnership with marketing and sales teams.

Quality & Compliance: Ensure products meet boAt’s standards for quality, reliability, durability, safety, regulatory compliance, and consumer experience.

Category Management: Track product and category performance, identify growth opportunities, and continuously optimize the product portfolio based on sales, consumer feedback, market share, and profitability.

Post-launch Product Management: Monitor product performance and customer feedback post-launch, identify improvement opportunities, and drive feature/product enhancements through the lifecycle.

What are we looking for?

3–6 years of experience in Product Management, preferably in Consumer Electronics, Wearables, Smart Devices, Mobile Accessories, or FMCG Durables.

Proven experience in NPD, NPI, product lifecycle management, and product launches.

Strong understanding of smartwatches, fitness trackers, wearable technology, sensors, Bluetooth connectivity, displays, battery technologies, and companion apps.

Experience working with ODM/EMS partners, preferably across India, China, or Vietnam.

Strong understanding of consumer insights, competitive benchmarking, product innovation, pricing, and market trends.

Ability to work effectively with hardware, software, engineering, design, supply chain, quality, marketing, and sales teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate consumer and market insights into actionable product strategies.

Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills with a strong bias for execution.
