Business Information - Animal Feed & ProteinWe’re one of the leading animal feed and day-old chick producers in Nigeria. We operate one of Nigeria's largest poultry feed mills and day-old-chick facilities in Kaduna State, and in Kwara state. Our aqua feed plant in Nigeria is the first in Sub-Saharan Africa, along with a poultry feed mill. Both these facilities are helping serve Nigeria’s expanding poultry and aquaculture sectors.To strengthen and expand our animal feed and protein capabilities in West Africa, while generating synergies with its wheat milling business in Senegal we recently acquired Avisen SARL a major suppliers of feed, with its facility located in Rufisque producing over 100,000 metric tons (MT) of feed annually.

Job DescriptionThe National Sales Head will lead the commercial strategy and execution for the Integrated Feed & Protein business, driving profitable growth across poultry feed, aqua feed, and related protein solutions. The role is responsible for developing national sales plans, expanding market share, strengthening customer relationships, managing distributor networks, and leading high-performing sales teams to achieve business objectives.

ResponsibilitiesSales & Business GrowthDevelop and execute national sales strategies to achieve revenue, volume, and profitability targets.Drive market penetration and expand customer coverage across key regions.Identify new business opportunities and develop growth plans for feed and protein products.Ensure achievement of annual sales budgets and market share objectives.Channel & Customer ManagementBuild and strengthen relationships with distributors, dealers, commercial farms, and key accounts.Develop and manage an effective route-to-market strategy.Monitor distributor performance and implement initiatives to improve sales productivity.Drive customer retention through strong engagement and value-added solutions. Commercial ExcellenceLead pricing, product positioning, promotions, and sales campaigns.Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to develop customer-focused solutions.Ensure effective forecasting and demand planning to support business operations.Team LeadershipLead, coach, and develop regional sales teams to achieve performance targets.Establish clear KPIs and performance management frameworks.Foster a high-performance, customer-centric sales culture.Build succession pipelines and enhance team capabilities through continuous development.Stakeholder ManagementWork closely with operations, supply chain, production, finance, and technical teams to ensure seamless execution.Provide regular business insights and market intelligence to leadership.Support strategic projects and expansion initiatives within the Integrated Feed & Protein business.

RequirementsMBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification from premium B school is preferred.12-18 years of progressive sales experience in FMCG, Animal Feed, Poultry, Aqua Feed, Agribusiness or related sectors.Proven experience managing national sales operations and large distribution networks.Demonstrated track record of delivering revenue growth and market share expansion.Experience leading geographically distributed sales teams.Strong understanding of commercial management, channel development, and customer acquisition strategies.Prior experience in the poultry feed, livestock feed, aquaculture, or protein industry will be preferred.
