Manager- Policy Advocacy
Position Summary
The Manager - Policy Advocacy is responsible for monitoring and analyzing public policy developments, developing advocacy strategies, engaging with government and regulatory stakeholders, and supporting organizational objectives through effective policy influence. The role acts as a bridge between the organization and external stakeholders, ensuring regulatory awareness, policy alignment, and proactive advocacy on matters impacting the business.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze policy, regulatory, and legislative developments impacting the power sector. Prepare policy briefs, impact assessments, position papers, and advocacy recommendations. Develop and execute policy advocacy strategies aligned with organizational priorities. Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, regulators, policymakers, and industry bodies. Support consultations, regulatory filings, policy submissions, and stakeholder engagements. Conduct policy and sector research to provide insights to leadership. Collaborate with trade associations, think tanks, and external stakeholders to strengthen advocacy efforts. Ensure compliance with applicable advocacy and regulatory requirements.
