In this role, you have the opportunity toBuild supply for the Merchant Lending business of BharatPe. You will do this by leading partnerships with some of the largest NBFCs in India. You will be interacting with CXO level leaders both internally and externallyResponsibilities will includeFunctional Expertise Identify and evaluate opportunities to grow business with existing and prospective NBFC partners. Manage NBFC partner programs from problem identification through implementation of scalable solutions. Develop processes, presentations, and responses to new proposals in a timely and structured manner. Ensure adherence to all regulatory, legal, and internal compliance requirements without exception. Monitor key portfolio, operational, and financial metrics for NBFC partners. Prepare and share periodic reports covering business performance, revenue, reconciliation, and operational health.
Problem Solving Deliver efficient, responsive, and solution-oriented resolution to partner issues and escalations. Identify gaps in processes or integrations and work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions. Proactively flag discrepancies in portfolio performance, reconciliation, or financial reporting and drive closure. Manage partner disputes, including reconciliation challenges and invoice management, ensuring minimal business disruption. Drive continuous improvement by recommending process optimisations based on data and partner feedback.
Interaction Liaise with cross-functional teams including Risk, Product, Legal, Finance, Payments, and Customer Service to support partner onboarding, integration, and go-live activities. Act as the single point of coordination between BharatPe and NBFC partners for integration and operational alignment. Provide crisp, timely, and structured updates to internal stakeholders on partner progress, risks, and milestones. Ensure effective collaboration between internal teams and partner stakeholders to support smooth day-to-day business operations.Reporting and Analytics Monitor key portfolio, operational and financial metrics for partners and report any discrepancies Prepare and share reports around business performance, reconciliation, revenue etc
To succeed in the roleImpact Contribute in building supply for the Merchant Lending business Manage large Lending Partners having a book size of INR 1000cr+ Identify opportunities to continuously grow the business
Challenges & Decisions Consistently delivering outcomes in an extremely dynamic environment Interacting with very senior stakeholders (both internal and external )on a regular basis Ensuring process and compliance adherence in a highly regulated industry Building deep understanding of the product, regulations and risk frameworksQualification & Experience (type & industry) Bachelor’s Degree from a tier 1 institute preferably IIT/NIT MBA degree would be preferred 2-4 yrs of experience preferably in financial services industry Partnerships and/or Program/Project Management experience preferredSkills & know-how Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work with and influence cross functional teams Understanding of financial concepts especially around digital lending Solution oriented – getting things done mindset An open, intuitive and curious mind to learn, unlearn and experimentBehaviors Inquisitive and Self –motivated.
