Gas Turbine R&D, Gurgaon as Gas Turbine Modernization and Technical Service Contract Engineer. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, global product development & service environment. This individual will be part of the global Negotiation Engineering team to provide technical support for bids on Large Gas Turbines (LGT) by defining technical scope, risks, and performance evaluations tied to service programs.
How You'll Make an Impact (Gas Turbine, R& D, India)
Creation of technical documentation and offers for gas turbine modernizations, upgrades and Service Program during service bid preparation, to support Marketing.Evaluate and optimize the scope of modifications and service program bids with marketing / sales and component specialists.Evaluation of feasibility of requested conceptTechnical description of the requested upgrade and/or service program with corresponding upgrade scope, guarantees, component life and operational risk.Consult marketing / sales with technical expertise to support active proposal and negotiations.Representing the technical negotiation team in the management review meeting.Supporting marketing/sales in customer meetings.Run performance models to evaluate impact of potential upgrades on Large Gas TurbineCoordinate evaluation of upgrade impact on overall plant.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical, Materials or Aerospace Engineering.5+ years of experience in gas turbine, aerospace or equivalent field.Advanced skills in MS-Office, SAP, Teamcenter and PCM documentation.Excellent working knowledge of Gas Turbine design, operation and Maintenance concepts including thermodynamic understanding.Working knowledge about total power plant functionalityBe comfortable working with colleagues in multiple time zones in a team and/or to lead an expert team to answer technical questions and to perform risk assessments.Ability to establish relationships and build networks in a global environment, including global team setup and interface with the service engineering component groups, other engineering groups (generator, steam turbine, BOP, I&C) and marketing groupsVery good verbal, written and virtual communication skills.
